Excellent album sampler, November 8, 2006

This is not Angela Via's first single off her new album. Rather, it's a taste of what's to come. The full-length demo of "Speakin' Spanish" is a reggaeton--mix of hip-hop and Latin music--track. The next two songs are snippet versions of songs off her forthcoming album. "She Used To Be A Friend..." samples Sting's "Roxanne." "Finally" is a slow R&B ballad, reminiscent of Angela's "Wish We Could Be Free" off her unreleased debut pop album from 2000. I look forward to her first album off Virgin Records--Ready to Fly--in stores in "early 2007," according to this CD.
