I am extremely pleased with the excellent value I received with my purchase of 'Speaking High Frequency German'. Such a refreshing approach to a typically difficult to present language. I loved the relaxed and natural teaching approach of the speakers (both the native German speaker and the American instructor). I have tried other language courses in a number of languages and it is my opinion that the Language Dynamics method is unequaled in speed and simplicity. This is not to say that one cannot find more 'difficult' courses elsewhere. Of course this is possible. But if you wish to learn the basics of German quickly and easily you'll never find a faster, easier, and more enjoyable way to do it. I really appreciate what the author did to bring German to life for me with these tapes and to help me actually learn how to speak it so fast.

I am a former US diplomat and current international business consultant. I can say that Language Dynamics courses are the only courses I know of that are truly dedicated to effective and immediate communication in the target language. Academic courses often reflect the literary interests of professors, many of whom never had the experience of learning the target language as a second language. With these courses, you can hit the streets after every lesson knowing you can say more than you could yesterday.

I am far from being a linguist and I don't profess to be one now that I can communicate in German. It does appear to me however that I learned a great deal of very useful German that I was able to use immediately in Germany and was understood. Also, the frustration I was spared by the instructor and native speaker on the tapes going slowly enough for me to hear the accent really helped. Most of all, I loved having all the meaning given to me on the tapes to I didn't have to look up anything. The manual was very useful too.

I was extremely disappointed in this course. There are several mistakes in both the book and the tapes. The book does not adequately explain concepts and the narrators jump ahead in language use and concepts. The book does not contain adequate dictionary terms. Many times words are used on the tape and one cannot find them in the book provided. In general I thought the preparation of this course was very poor. I ended up buying another course and found it to be better organized and better prepared for less money. Personally, I think this course should be pulled from the shelves and re-done by someone more competent. I will never buy a Mark Frobose language book or tape set again.

I am 64 years old, and have been dabbling with learning german since high school. I have tried various audio, video and text methods in addition to two boring years of college german. This program, Speaking High Frequency German is the best that I have found. I went through the six hour program, and went through it again a few months later. I was amazed at how much I had retained from the first session. I Can't wait for Mr. Frobose to issue a follow-up course

This would be a very good course for beginners. I was looking for something a little more advanced but enjoyed this just the same.

For the money I spent, I felt this set of tapes was not worth it. The product description advertises 6 hours of tape, however, each of the six tapes played for less than one hour. In addition, the tapes are repeated - For example, side 1 on tape 1 plays again as a side on tape 3 or 4. Why? If I didn't get it the first time around, why wouldn't I just go back and listen to tape 1 again? In all, there might actually be 3 hours of lessons. Also, the lessons cover only an extreme minimum of vocabulary and key phrases. This product was definately not worth it.

The product did not come with "the Complete Learning Guide and Tapescript", was missing from the complete order.
