5.0 out of 5 stars Eye opening program!!!
All I can say is WOW! There is so much information in this program that you'll find yourself listening to it time after time. There's a lot more to spirituality than you've been led to believe! Gregg has put together a lot of the missing pieces and I'm sure he will continue to find more. If organized religion is not doing it for you, this program is for YOU! This review...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice synthesis
I purchased this from audible.com. So, first some techie advice. This was very easy to download, provided you understand the difference between your data files and audio files (what you actually listen to). I am fairly technical, but can still get goofed up sometimes. Not a biggy. Like most Apple applications, Itunes does make it simpler to store and burn to a disk...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ancient and Modern side by side, January 14, 2009
This review is from: Speaking the Lost Language of God (Audio CD)
A wonderful analysis of ancient and modern schools of thought. Braden's interpretation of ancient text, quantum physics, and spirituality present an expansive picture of what we call "spirituality." This is a detailed look at what the ancients tried to tell those of us living in this future about our own powers as beings in a bigger universe - we are and influence much more than we think.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best books I've 'read', listened to actually, in years. I recommend it highly and even bought a copy to lend, December 20, 2009

This is one of the best books I've 'read', listened to actually, in years and even bought a copy to lend to friends. I persuaded our local library to get a copy which they did. I recommend it highly, believe it's Life changing and believe that if we ALL listened to it, the world would be a far better place. Five stars? If I could, I'd give it 10! And one reading isn't enough. I've heard it three times so far and gotten more out of it each time.

Mr. Braden isn't a relative nor do I have stock in the company which publishes his books. Listen yourself and you'll see what I mean

I purchased this from audible.com. So, first some techie advice. This was very easy to download, provided you understand the difference between your data files and audio files (what you actually listen to). I am fairly technical, but can still get goofed up sometimes. Not a biggy. Like most Apple applications, Itunes does make it simpler to store and burn to a disk. My family lives 5+ hours away and I enjoy listening to spiritual books in the car. I rated this a '3' because I didn't like the music breaks that occurred after every two or so tracks. I found them somewhat distracting, and did not know exactly what to make of them. I definitely did not like the editing between 'live audience' and recording sessions on the topics. The Pema Chodron audio books like "Don't Bite the Hook" Don't Bite the Hook: Finding Freedom from Anger, Resentment, and Other Destructive Emotions [Audiobook] [Audio CD] and "Getting Unstuck" Getting Unstuck are wonderful, seamless recordings. Switching back and forth, as this CD does, makes for a choppy and somewhat inferior quality. Otherwise, I was immensely pleased with the subject matter, and the three plus hours on the dark highway, made time move quickly.

Now the subject matter and Gregg Braden. I love his voice and what he has to say. Mr. Braden talks in an 'everyman' mode in which he is able to synthesize spiritual concepts and science into a cognizant form of its own, while providing reassurance that there needs to be no conflict between the two. Through the use of personal anecdotes, Mr. Braden simply moves his topic along with occasional summaries of the discussion. The dead sea scrolls, the stats for the last century, the modalities of prayer - all of these topics and what is known about them - are not new discoveries. Rather, it is the way Mr. Braden explains and synthesizes all of this information into a collective oneness of understanding that makes listening to him such a wonderful experience. This was a great audio CD presentation on bringing the past forward to the future.

BTW, the 5th modality is also what is referred to in the Eastern Orthodox Church tradition, as hesychastic prayer. I would suggest reading two wonderful short books: The Way of the Heart by Henri J.M. Nouwen The Way of the Heart and The Way of a Pilgrim The Way of a Pilgrim and A Pilgrim Continues on His Way (Shambhala Classics) . Both books provide simple, yet beautiful prose regarding the 5th modality of prayer: the idea of the "stillness" and "restfulness" of the heart as the way to the Mind of God.

Although the author is an expert in the field, the program as stated in the four discs was just not enough to really do the job. It left me wanting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Homo universalis, May 6, 2010

This review is from: Speaking the Lost Language of God (Audio CD)
As usual Gregg Braden excels himself in expressing the wonder of the universe and how we are all an intrinsic part of the divine matrix
His words permeate and unfold in our hearts as we explore new dimensions to the human frame of reference
I listened to the CDs in my car and they were fascinating
I admit to being a fan of Greg
However he alluded to newly found gospels about the child Jesus without giving enough informatioon
Important staements were glossed over
I wanted to know more about the lost gospels and also how scientists are manipulatimg the weather
Then he expanded on previuos talks and tapes by going into more detail about how we create our realities and heal ourselves by entraining heart and mind or emotion thinking and feeling
This he says is the secret embedded in the lost Hebrew Aramaic scrolls and lost teachings found surprisingly in Tibetan monastries
Despite the title of the CD pack namely-- Speaking the lost language of GOD he hardly mentions GOD or really describes the nature of GOD
I had thought he would talk more about the Hebrew names of GOD but I was mistaken
Gregg keeps it simple and it flows togeher very well and Gregg Braden is always illuminating

Gregg Braden is a gift to our planet. All ancient texts scholar, cites sources, discusses fully the background and what the physicists are saying about Consciousness is what drives this reality. Awesome CD and everyone should have this. What the ancients have left behind in their texts to let those who come after to know. This CD is a eye and mind opener. You will not be able to stop listening once you start the series of CD set.
