Bizzy Bone - Speaking In Tongues,
This review is from: Speaking in Tongues (Audio CD)
"Speaking in Tongues" may not be classed as classic BTNH to some, but it is definately a Classic Bizzy Album!! Bizzy is releasing new albums out of every direction! and each of those albums don't disappoint. He recently released "Thugs Revenge" and "The Story" which show that he is still on top!.
My top 3 tracks include of "Seeing Things" "Less Fame" and "Shake Ya Stick" (everyone is taking the lyrics to "Shake Ya Stick" out of context, those people should just look into it or search info on what Shake Ya Stick means!) and it also has a great beat! Other standout tracks are "T.T." "Beauty (You Just A Rose)" "Hold Me Down" "He Told Me" "Represent Da One" and "Bald Head Horse Man". "BB Da Thug" has Bizzy taking advantage of LL's Classic Beat to "I Need Love" and shine's! The Last track "All Good" is a nice end to a great album! "Speaking in Tongues" grew on me after a couple listens and i am once again satisfied with my purchase of another Great Bizzy Album! This is a Must Have for the die hard Bone fan, and to the people who are new to Bizzy and are wanting to purchase this release? i encourage them and hope they enjoy what Bizzy has to say as much as i have!

Bizzys been bizzy,

Im not complaining as most rap fans im a big bone fan and anything afiliated. some would say bizzy is one of the top rappers ever. this is not a far fech statement. i enjoy this cd. i wish he put some bone members on it i no he has his beefs but i thought they were squashed after the bone brothers cd. he takes charge at some hot topics in politics and current events such as seriods in baseball from intro to outro the cd keeps the same chaotic feel that bizzy's flow gives.
one of the few things that i think bizzy shoulkd work on though is to slow down the material he puts out and put more time in one project. his lyrics are on point. but i think the production could use a little help. if your a bone fan this is def a cd for you. if your not and ur just starting on bizzy this cd is hott but i would buy it with hevans movie or alpha and omaga to get a little more material. he is a talented great rapper i wish he would get back with bon tuggs and put out another cd.

Why this is a great album?,

OK I am not a big fan of Bone and I stumbled into Bizzy's solo career after a friend let me borrow Alpha and Omega. This album is an amazing piece of work and here is why? First, he uses a reverberating echo which is used in mystical and music intended to cling into your head. Second his producers actually use middle eastern meter and classical techniques which is very cutting edge. Third he has finally figured out what his passion is and he spits fire. The small drawback is the god talk, but honestly the game is not one dimentional and bizzy does not come corny with his messages. Listen to this album very carefully becuase Bizzy designed this to take any listner to the next level. People who critisize this album are under the age of 19, or mad becuase they need to see an image of bizzy that makes them happy. Bizzy is here for his damn self! Respect his honesty and truthfulness!!!

not his typical style,

Just as my title says, this isn't Bizzy's typical style. By typical style, I mean the style he had when he was a member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Also this style is different from his other solos. However, if you, like me, are a big Bizzy fan, you'll end up enjoying this album. His different style is very unique. His beats are amazing, and he has good lyrics in this album.

A refreshing break from the norm,
By Big C "CEL" (Worcester Ma.) - See all my reviews

As the title suggests this album is laced with Bizzys spirtual side. This is especially true with Beauty(You Just a Rose) a song about a message given to Bizzy to read from God. Dispite all of the spirtual undertones the album is still filled with vulgarites, which makes the album all the more interesting by putting two things that generally don't go together, together. Considering the low budget record label this album was released on the production is not too bad. If your looking for rap that is different from most of the stuff you hear today I would recommend giving this album a shot. If you can, listen to it first some people might find it a bit bizzare.

I think this album is bizzy all the way if your a bone fan like me you know of his pass so this is him all the way. My favorite song is SEEING THINGS its that old bone bizzy, but songs like less fame, T.T., and that weed smoking one All Good set it in one of his best on side of heavens movie (Shake that stick was weird and not like bizzy)

I THINK BIZZY HAS DEFINITLY BEEN THROUGH SOME THINGS IN HIS LIFE,AND THIS ALBUM GET DOWN TO HIS TRUE FEELINGS AT THIS POINT IN HIS LIFE, THE ALBUM IS VERY DEEP. NOT A ALBUM THAT YOU WOULD BUMP GOING TO CLUB, BUT IF YOUR A TRUE BONE FAN AND YOU JUST WANNA HEAR A ORIGINAL SOUND, DEFINITLY CHEAK THIS OUT.

DOPE CD FROM BB THE THUG!,
By Mike Leon "Bezzie" (Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Speaking in Tongues (Audio CD)
here it is, this cd focuses more on the lyrical aspect of bizzy bone, than the style aspect. his flows are sick, and the beats are off the hook. This is mos deff one of BB's more Stronger titiles. The top songs are as listed.
1-Hold me down 2-BB Da Thug 3-T.T. 4-Shake Da Stick The rest of the songs are sick too! GET THIS CD! PRAISED GOD, IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! 1 LOVE, Big Bezzie(Mike Leon)

Bizzy needs better instrumentals,

When you listen to 'Heaven's Movie', and 'The Gift', and then listen to his most recent releases, there is an obvious difference in the quality of the music itself, as well as that of the recording. Everything after The Gift sounded like it was recorded in somebody's basement, or on a karioke machine with the echo turned up, slightly. It's not appealing to the ear.
I grew up listening to Bone, and even though Ruthless screwed them, or whatever, I have to admit that when Bone was signed with them, all of their albums at least sounded professional. DJ U-Neek made beats that fit Bone's style, perfectly. They were on top of the rap game. Bizzy's vocals and lyrical content on this album are on point, but unfortunately, that's not enough to constitute a solid release. He should really work with DJ-Uneek again instead of his current beat man, who's beats don't even come close to complimenting his style. And, as aformentioned by pretty much everybody's else's review, he badly needs some decent production on his records. I gave this album 3 stars just because I've been a loyal Bone, and Bizzy fan for so long, and I'm not going to jump ship because of a few mediocre releases. Bottom line, this album was definately a disappointement, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone new to Bizzy Bone; only to the die hard fans looking to add to their collection. ...Oh yeah, and he should grow da hair back. You can't loose your trademark- keep it real. |
