This book would make a wonderful gift! Women have so much to share and even more to learn from one another. I realize this further after reading the chapters of Speaking Your Truth. As I devoured the stories from women just like me, I celebrated their success in overcoming obstacles, I appreciated their triumph over fear, and I related to their vulnerabilities exposed in print.

Sometimes in our lives, we can fall into the false assumption that we are alone in the world, and we are the only person who has ever faced the challenges that pop up in life. This book will give you a greater sense of community, that there are many women in the world who face adversity and rely on their inner strength to pull them through. You are strong too and capable of Speaking Your Truth. If you are in need of some inspiration, read these stories to see how these women are creating happiness by accepting the past, embracing the moment, and trusting that the future will unfold as it should.

We as women tend to hide those traumas and challenges that we've lived, under the guise of thoughts like "I can't because it may hurt someone" or "what would they think of me if they knew?". This book is a forum in which women of all ages, races, backgrounds, and careers have come together to celebrate our triumphs ... share our mutual humanness. Because when we meet in celebration, we are able to bridge the differences that keep us separate, and see all those qualities that we in fact share.

This is a must read for any woman seeking to make positive changes in her life.

As females, we are often taught to smile and act as if we have everything under control, that everything is "fine." At age 50, I'm finally learning it's okay to admit vulnerability and weakness, but also to allow my strengths and accomplishments to show. My daughters and their generation seem to have less trouble showing their strength, but perhaps still struggle with showing any weakness. This can set the stage for stress-filled lives, overcommitment, burn-out and even illness. In these pages, you will find story after story of women being real - candidly admitting their various uncomfortable pasts or challenging life circumstances, yet ALL of them emerging with amazing amounts of confidence, success, and gratitude for the lessons they have learned! You will recognize aspects of yourself in many of the stories - realizing you are NOT alone after all! Whether you or a girlfriend or daughter needs hope that she, too, can manifest a magnificent change for the better, or whether you are an already empowered woman who enjoys sharing in an amazing sisterhood, this book is for you! Buy a copy for yourself and more to share with the wonderful women in your life!Speaking Your Truth: Courageous Stories from Inspiring Women (Volume 1)
