Good points and bad points,

This review is from: The Spear (Paperback)
This novel has a lot of promise in the beginning. Interesting characters, interesting crime. It is obvious that the author has done a lot of interesting research. It is worth reading (or listening to the MP3) for these things.
Sadly, the inept villain as well as the heroes allies which seem content to wait until the bad guys die of old age mar the novel a bit. It is a bit dated, being set in the 1980's. The simple addition of cell phones would have made a huge difference in the story. Over all, I give it three stars. Good, but it has some things I regard as serious flaws.
