I purchased one of these belts right before I deployed to Afghanistan. The belt they issued me from the Army was worthless and wouldn't stay tight. This belt, with the velcro closure, kept the belt tight no matter what terrain I had to deal with. After a year of torture and everyday wear, it still looks new. I bought a second belt to go with my Navy NWU's and I will never have another web belt for my uniform!

When I first got this in the mail I couldn't help but dig out a D-ring and some 550 cord and test out my new belt. Well, I am here to tell you it can hold my 190's worth of weight suspended. The nylon is of a very nice quality, and the metal components are made out of a high strength steel with a rust resistant finish.
The metal components are actually very smooth, so they won't snag on your favorite jeans. And, the end of the belt is melted and angled so the nylon does not frey and it is easy to put through belt loops despite how wide it is.

A little disappointed that I didn't look anything like the model in the photo. Stomach was not flat after putting it on. Other than that, I like it very much. It came in handy when pranking a neighbor, and I only had one climbing harness. I let my buddy belay me with the harness, and I wore this.
