I purchased this belt for both my Army ACUs and my warehouse work jeans.

It pulls double-duty for me and does its job superbly. First it will not buckle down on any area that you hang a load from it. It always remains stiff and is very reliable, never sagging. The buckle cinches down and never slips. It can be a small pain when you have to use the restroom, but for me it is worth the small hassle.

If you aren't sure which size to get, just purchase the higher size. When I needed to reduce the length all I did was cut it at the same angle that it came in, then burnt the tips with a lighter. This is exactly what the manufacturer did and I have not had any problems.

Excellent buy, just know that you can probably buy it cheaper at a MCSS on post somewhere if you're in the military or Army specifically.

Had the belt been a bit cheaper and more reasonably cost for what it is, I would have given it 5 stars for sure.

Great economical belt. Securely holds a loaded side arm and 2 extra magazines ($ pants) without slippage or issue. Great product at a great price.

I love this belt. It stays in place! I wear several things on this belt every day and it holds weight well. * also really like how easy the buckle is and am impressed with how well it keeps the belt in place. My husband and I both bought the same belt and each of our belts fit our different sizes.

This belt is MADE IN USA. I could not believe how sturdy and beefed up this belt is. It wont fold on you and the buckle locks up very tight and secure. I wear 36 pants for comfort and purchased the LARGE. I should have got the medium but I can cut it and burn the end and make it fit without any problems. I will buy another one without hesitation. It fits on my TDU's perfectly, and fills the whole belt loop like it was made for it. Not too tight but perfect. The biggest deal is the LIFE TIME WARRANTY with all the company info provided if there ever is a problem. I am very happy to see a AMERICAN product made so well for so little money. This belt is NOT seat belt grade crap it IS ballistic super strong. And if you ever lose the packaging the company info is sewn onto the belt so you will always have it if for some act of nature reason you need to contact them.

Better BDU belt comes in 2 sizes: 1.5" & 1.75".

The 1.5" fits through belt loops on all my pant's, plus it fits loops on my cell phone carry case & all my knife sheath's.

The 1.75" fits through the belt loops of just a few of pant's, & my cell phone case will not fit onto this belt size not do my knife sheath's fit onto this size belt except for one.

When 1st trying out this belt there was a learning curve for me. Now operating this belt in any situation is a no-brainer quick adjustment ie. eating at a resturant, sitting for long period's such as at the cinema, computer, driving, etc, carrying a light or heavy load on belt &/or in pockets.

There is a particular feature I have never experienced before & that being when cinching the belt to appropriate size, it stays in place while you feed the belt in through the buckle the 2nd time to secure the whole rig.

This Better BDU belt is amazingly better in my usage. I will know being using this belt for some time to come. I am done with trying & testing belts from all over the web & local stores now.

This is a good sturdy belt. I can carry my 1911 .45 and two mag pouch with no sag.Only small complaint is belt is wide,fits belt loops OK but some holsters wo'nt fit.My Blackhawk serpa and Dillon leather fit OK but any Mikes wo'nt if you want to include belt loop.

This is a great EDC belt. It is made right here in the USA and is a great value for the money. This is a great belt to wear on an every day basis, it is quite durable and doesn't look too bad either. Spec-Ops offers a lifetime warranty on all of it's products.

As the adjusting tabs on BDU's will not stay in place, your only other option in my book is a decent belt. There are cheaper ones out there ( and here ), but for the extra few dollars spent over a plain jane belt, you get a very nice buckle. Functional, light, strong. The webbing is pretty standard, but stout, so consider the extra money spent on the buckle.

Lastly, these seem to run on the large side, . Yes, you can always cut to size. I was just surprised at how long the sizes ran compared to other belts, and there was no inch length sizes to help in ordering. I wear size 36" waist Levi's and the X-large still has 12" extra past the buckle when worn, so order accordingly.

I use this belt under my duty belt. I was looking for a belt that I could support the weight of a heavy duty belt. The plastic buckle really isn't as big and obtrusive as it looks. I have about a 32 in waist and have about 6-8 inches of slack, depending on what pants I'm wearing. The 1.75" belt fits all of the loops of my jeans comfortably, but be sure to check the size of any pushes or other things that you attach to your belt.

For the last eight or nine years, I had a Bison Designs Belt, that was similar, and I loved it. It takes a while to get used to this kind of retention system, but there's nothing else like it. Infinite adjustability and no holes to get elongated and stretched out/worn over time. And when you lock it down, it stays there, no matter what.

I have been searching for something wider than my Bison Designs 30mm width, and so I gave this a try. It has far exceeded my expectations. It's like they engineered little waves of crochet'd nylon in the webbing, for even better grip. It's so smooth and the buckle is three times as thick as my Bison Design's and seems a lot more sturdy, but it's a lot more comfortable too. Those ridges and dips in that plastic (co-polymer? Fiberglass reinforced nylon?) buckle are ergonomically perfect and it's a joy to behold in the hand and use. I actually look forward to going to the bathroom now, just to check out this belt! I will even undo the belt, just to do it, when before it was only a zipper affair. The buckle does stick out much further than my Bison Designs Belt, which was so low profile and stealth, but it's due to the Spec Op's thickness, and more robust materials, and I am happy to sacrifice some stealth for the utility of this belt.

Webbing stiffness is more that adequate for loading it down with tons of belt mounted accessories and tools and weapons. It's really built like a tank (for not being a last ditch climbing/rescue belt)

I got the largest size, because I knew I would want to cut and shape my own end. When it came, the melted end was sloppy, so I cut about twelve inches off, (measured it right up to my old Bison Designs Belt) and cut it in a half moon shape, similar to a cowboy belt, but less pointy. The beauty of this is the melting. I melt paracord and other plastic stuff all the time, but I have to tell you that this webbing melted better than any other webbing, so I advise you to get a larger size, so you can customize the size and end shape to your liking.

When I melted the end of my Bison Designs belt, it would harden, but it was more like pumice, all air bubbles and then it would crack. This new Spec Ops Better BDU belt, formed a solid and thick magma of melted nylon and it seems like it made it stronger. Does not crack. It's like adding a hard plastic tip, for easier threading through loops.

I melted it after shaping, then pressed down with the flat end of a large knife, on the side of the knife, against a flat metal table. I had to do this, since I melted a lot, for more of that custom plastic real estate, and you need to watch that it doesn't get too thick and goopy. As long as I kept "ironing" it flat this way, while melting, I was able to keep it's thin profile consistent, and it feeds through the buckle even better than new.

So, from the factory, my only negative is the end melts, but with five minutes and a bic lighter, it's the best belt ever, and I think it will last my lifetime, but I still want to get more, just in case. I never want to be without this belt. I have since retired all my other belts, even this really amazing one, that I thought I'd be buried with, but it feels great to finally shed the weight of that thick leather and sterling silver, to this belt, which is airport friendly for metal detectors, and it's so easy to thread, and move to center, because it's a slippery nylon. Five stars. and more. Best Belt Ever. Real Talk.

UPDATE: Longevity has been great. The melting process is a bit tedious, but worth it. The melted portion at the end forms into a very (surprisingly) strong and rigid form. I suggest what I did, which was melt, then "press" between two steel plates to cool, while it's "wet" and then let dry - to keep the low profile needed to easily feed into the plastic buckle portion. This has worked wonderfully for me, as I melted a lot - for extra rigidity and strength. I made a pretty large blob of meltedness, then pressed with two steel plates.

The material doesn't seem to ever fray. Best nylon type material I've ever encountered. 1000 Denier Cordura frays much more than this stuff. The nylon webbing is thick and has kept it's rigidity like nobody's business. Great for mounting heavy belt accessories/tools/weapons. I am so impressed with this belt. I have completely retired my old (super high quality) leather belt for this lightweight and stronger (and even more rigid) specimen. I want to buy a whole bunch, to have just in case, but I actually feel like redundancy might be futile in this circumstance. I don't think this belt will ever wear out! I might buy some more, anyway, just because. I'll need to think of more uses.

I ordered the largest size and cut/melted my own end at my desired (extra long) length. This helps in case I need to use the belt as a strap, and the extra long end doesn't "dangle" like my old Bison Designs Belt, because of it's stiffness. Even without a "belt keeper" this thing stays flat against my waist. This way, there was no worry of sizing.
