Create digital images, movies or copies of your 35mm slides with your digital camera, camcorder, movie camera or 35mm SLR. This slide copier screws onto the end of the camera lens or adaptor -- just like a filter -- allowing the camera to produce digital images from traditional 35mm slides. ** This copier includes, and is precisely integrated with a high quality 2 element Hoya +10 diopter Macro Close-Up Lens. This is not your common single element close-up lens - single element lenses cannot compete with this superb two element lens for resolution and overall image quality. This lens can be used separately from the copier on your camera. ** Depending upon your camera's zoom range, the image of a slide will completely fill the frame at about 100mm zoom, or zoom over 100mm and trim or crop the image as desired. Confine SLR (removable lens) cameras to around 80-120mm zoom range for best results. ** Includes a flexible, removable positioning device that provides instant slide alignment - vertically & horizontally! ** Make prints from the resulting digital images. ** Accommodates all varieties of 35mm mounted slides. ** Detailed instructions are included to help ensure that you obtain the highest quality images. ** An optional (not included) negative / slide / microfilm carrier accessory is available for this duplicator (ASIN: B0001ITYYE); it fits into the slide copier and enables copies to be made from un-mounted 35mm negative, transparency strips, black and white film, even 35mm microfilm. If you are not a techno savy person who just wants to copy slides to digital this is a great little tool. The equipment is easy to use and fairly straight forward. Mount the copier to your camera with the required adpater and macro lens go to macro mode,load the slide, zoom, shoot! Sounds easy? It is!After fooling around with this gadget we have developed a system that works fairly well it is: 1)mount the copier to the camera 2) put the unit on a tripod 3) plug the camera into your pc and use your software ( don't have to but it makes a great view of the future picture) 4) aim the unit to a whit wall/ sheet/ cardboard ( about 6 feet is great) 5) Load the slide, zoom, shoot! In about an hour you can convert 45-50 slides easily!
