Really great new artist,
This review is from: Special 20 (Audio CD)
This is one of the best albums I've gotten in several years. A lot of people will probably label Tim as alt-country, but I think his talent goes way beyond that genre. His song-writing is absolutely solid, and the playing and production value on this record is top-notch. Recently, I was lucky enough to catch a live show from Tim in Seattle. This guy's the real thing. He can pull off both the rockin' songs as well as the sweet slower ones and have a good time all the while. Also, don't miss out on his band "The Haynes Boys".

One of the best records of the past 20 or so years. Absolutely fantastic songwriting.

Special 20 is polished, real, sweet and makes me want to stomp around in Kentucky in boots with a fishing pole and pint of Bourbon. Tim Easton's lyrics are entertaining and imaginative.

A Great Songwriter,

This album is just a good album. Although it does start out really strong and then tapers off after song 6-7 it is still a great piece of work. Tim is really a great songwriter and deserve a lot of credit for it. He is also a Great live performer also and has some other great work in his bag. Like "Truth About Us", "Break Your Mother's Heart", "They Will Bury You" Ep and If you can find a copy of "Guardian Angel" Which was a cd released by The Haynes Boys. A band Tim Was in before his solo career. Also a good cd. I love This guy He is just plain "Great" as far as I am concerned!!! Enjoy, if you do get this one. I know you will!!

I was lucky enough to see Tim Easton play live in a small bar in central Nebraska. I knew enough after that to buy this CD and snatch up Haynes Boys also. Special 20 makes me feel good. It has clear, well written, interesting songs with great music to back them up. If you like great music, buy it, you'll love it!!

His songwriting can be compared to Bob Dylan and Townes van Zandt, two of the best. Pure American Music, no effects.

Tim's great...,

Tim is a really good musician... I used to hear him play almost every day back when he was young. His sound is still true to his roots - just like when rocked out with the "Woodpeckers". He did a rockin' "Norwegian Wood" back in the day at the Norwich House. I hear Tim is a friend of the environment, sparsely using dish soap and shampoo. This album is great, it rocks and he knows how to write a tune - good job Mr. Easton.
