This must be THE essential guide book for the Star Trek fan! I stumbled on it by chance when it was in book stores, 1996, and have used it frequently ever since. Interesting articles about the origins of Trek, what it takes to produce a show, the cast members, the show's impact on today's culture... The best section was the complete episode guide of every single movie and every episode of every series (up to that point) complete with a synopsis, insight, trivia and other goodies!

I only hope that for the upcoming 40th Anniversary that this publication will be re-made and updated!

Ok, well maybe not everything, but enough information to keep any star trek fan talking about the book for months. People will be picking apart the continuity issues, and taking a look at the pictures, and otherwise just having a good time with this book.

The book covers the first 30 years of what has become one of the most endearing series on television, and one that has had an amazing influence on the world we live in today. This special collectors edition of the 30 year anniversary of star trek is worth picking up and reading because it is just sheer fun to read. Plus you can pick out things that people forgot, things they missed, things they got wrong, and generate hours of real interactive fun.
