A complete waste of money,

I took the exam on July 14, 2007, and not one question was related, in any way, to the unproofread, poorly written exam guide which I ordered. Do yourself a favor and do not even waste time thinking about buying this guide.

Bought this, even though I'm enrolled in a generalist licensure program for some review. Don't waste your time. Some of the information may be accurate, other info. vague at best, and other info. clearly false. For example, the author states that one of the signs of abnormal development is not conforming to gender (she says "sex") norms as an adult. What? Another clear aberration is the statement that the discrepancy model is required for diagnosing a learning disability. This couldn't be farther from the truth. It was specifically not required in the last iteration of IDEA, and is discouraged as a sole evaluation. If used at all, it should be used together with other methods.
Pure hogwash: don't waste your time.

This book was a complete waste of money. I was looking for help with the math section of the PLACE exam. The problems in this book were nothing like the problems on the exam. Thankfully, the math problems on the PLACE were easier than those in the book. Use the free online study guide and save your money. The test really isn't very difficult.
