Best Kept Secret, February 20, 2005

Personal favorites are "In Between The Lines" by Alice Ripley and "Count to Ten" by Brian Green...unfortunately not the Brian Green from 90210. Some of the songs are less than memorable, but on a whole its a must have for Alice Ripley/musical theater buffs.

"A Special Place: Songs from the Heart", is indeed a very special CD. The songs and arrangements are unique, clever and lovely, and the performances are superb. Highly recommended listening.

Any one looking for a cutting edge yet still good old fashioned Broadway musical should listen to this CD; any producer wishing to give Broadway the musical that it needs should look to Mr. Ost for the score.

Any album with KT Sullivan has to be entertaining and this fine collection is certainly that. Bob Ost's music runs the gamut of musical styles and will delight every musical theatre fanatic from here to Tokyo.

Great Performances of intreaguing material, March 13, 1999

The songs grow on you with every listening. Lilias White is amazing, as is David Sabella. Their songs have real breakout potential. Alice Ripley's voice is emotional and powerful. All of the songs have "A special Place" in my heart. If you're a theater or cabaret fan this CD is a must.
