Biography

On the day Garbage gathered in Wisconsin to start work on their fourth record, they came up with the glittering and steely "Right Between the Eyes" in all of 30 minutes. Things would not go quite so well with BLEED LIKE ME again.

The band battled illness, surgery, creative disagreements, major life changes and-depending who you ask-either a break-up or a much-needed sabbatical. But nothing good… Read more in Amazon's Garbage Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for the B-side, July 31, 2003
This review is from: Special Pt 2 / 13 X Forever (Audio CD)
Garbage fans, "Special #2" cries out for your love! This CD single isn't as good as "Special #1", but it has its place. The B-side, "13 x Forever", has turned into one of my favorite Garbage songs - it's an infectious winner that should have been on the album. "Special" is still a great song, and one of VERSION 2.0's strongest tracks. The only weak spot here is the dull, unnecessary Brothers in Rhythm remix of "Special". Otherwise, "Special #2" is a worthy buy.

This was the first import that i have ever bought from Garbage, and i was so impressed that i have bought 9 more of them. The CD is excellent. Sure it only has 3 songs on it, but the song 13xForever makes up for it. This song is my favorite B-side. Shirley's vocals are just amazing, and the lyrics make the song phenominal. I would definately recomend this CD to anyone who is even an avid Garbage listener.

5 stars indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars 13 X Forever infectiously catchy!, August 4, 1999

You've all heard "Special", so I won't talk about that. The second track on this disc, a b-side called "13 X Forever", is typical Garbage: driving beat, sexy vocals, and clever hooks. A sample of the lyrics: " Thirteen times you f***ed with my karma; Thirteen times I sucked on your dogma." Cool! The third track is an interesting remix of "Special". The chord progressions are changed quite a bit, but the melody still works because it was extremely flexible to start with.

Summing it all up, this one is worth having.
