We thoroughly enjoyed the concerts and would very much like to add them to our collection for future enjoyment. We have the concerts and have viewed them over and over. We want it on DVD. We would like to have DVDs for all of the Sinbad Summer Jams. With all of the "Baby Boomers", this would be a big HIT for any of our video libraries. Please respond and let us know when they become available. We have the system and we need GOOD music. We have looked everywhere and noone seems to know if they are in existence. Please help! Good music is getting harder to find.

I have seen many of the concerts HBO has broadcast, but the Sinbad Soul Summer Series are the absolute best that have ever been put on the air!!
The music and the acts are the best music has to offer, when music was real and funky, and you HAD to get up and dance to it!! Please, please, will someone get on the powers that be, and get this the hell on dvd!!
The fans and just plain people are hungry- no, ravenous for GOOD MUSIC.
You can't get any better than this. Can I get an Amen?

I have enjoyed all three of Sindbad's Summer Concert Series. If you are an "old school" music fan than this is the series for you!

Please, Please tell me where I can find this series on DVD! Do the concert promoters, etc. etc., realize how much money can be made if they put this series on DVD? !!!

Can anybody help? I video taped off of public tv (during a pledge drive) an early 90's Earth, Wind & Fire concert hosted by Sinbad. Maurice was not there and Phillip led the group. It featured very contempory versions of the classics. In fact I attended the same tour in 1994--awesome!

I have seen all of Sinbad's Summer Jam concerts, the artists are amazing and Sinbad's comedy is great. If you are a "70's child" this will take you back. The only problem I see with this CD is the fact that the entire concert (all three hours worth) is not on it.

I would like to say, all the Sinbad Summer Jam/Soul Music Festival's were off the chain. I had the chance to watch all HBO Special's on TV. I recorded all but 1. I'll be so happy whenever they release them on dvd. My Sister was all over the camera when they were in Aruba.
Please!!! Please!!! LET US KNOW IF YOU KNOW WHERE THE ENTIRE SERIES CAN BE PURCHASED ON DVD, PLEASE.

I have both of "Sinbads Sounds of the 70s" shows.(1 & 2) I cherish them ! (As a matter of fact, just watched them about 2 weekes ago!), unfortunately, they are both on a VHS Tape, since that was the format that we could record at the time. I have both shows, and on each show, each performer did at least 3 songs. If you buy this, you are cheating yourself...

HBO Should have released both of these shows on DVD already

This response is to Johnetta L Williams. I read your review and I have also been trying to find the DVDs to the Summer Jams. After reading your review I checked on line for information. Well, I hope I have helped us both because I think I found the exact HBO recordings on DVD. I'm not sure if they have them all but go to [...] and see what you think.
