5.0 out of 5 stars Old School Computing: MS-DOS 6.22 Ultimate Learning Tool, January 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Special Edition Using MS-DOS 6.22 (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
Hello there peoples. I am a bit of a computer enthusiast and have recently started learning about MS-DOS 6.22 as a hobby. If you are reading this review, I assume that you too, are interested in uncovering the mysteries of the Legendary operating system: MS-DOS. And if you're anything like me, you have had a very hard time trying to find instructions, tips and walkthroughs or any other type of useful information on the old MS-DOS system. I am writing this review to tell you that if you really want to learn the ins and outs of the old MS-DOS system, 'Special Edition Using MS-DOS 6.22 (3rd Edition)' is an ultimately great and useful tool for beginners and intermediate users of the system.

The book includes all the information you need to know about the old MS-DOS system. The book is set out in an easy to read way, with casual and simple language, accompanied with an easy to use navigation system as you will be continually flicking back and forth through the pages. Even if you had never touched a computer in your life, you could learn to use MS-DOS 6.22 (even if it was to a basic understanding) as this is what the book is about: teaching newcomers about a 'new' system. The book also includes an interesting history of computers and their journey into todays society, as well as details into understanding the different pieces of hardware in a computer and how they function together to make a working computer. I also noticed that although the book looks really thick, it doesn't take long before you have read every page.

My final opinion: 'Special Edition Using MS-DOS 6.22 (3rd Edition)' Is a great device for learning users who are interested in computer nostalgia and history. And at such a tiny little price, it's totally worth it.

My rating: :) :) :) :) :) five smiley faces...hehe
