Great book, April 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Special Edition Using Microsoft Outlook 97 (Using ... (Que)) (Paperback)
I've found this book, as with all books from Que to be excellent reading. Every chapter of this book is explained so the average user can understand- even the advanced sections. Each chapter comprehensively follows the next, so the reader can follow quite easily.

Certainly comprehensive, but not deep enough in some areas, March 3, 1998

The information on creating and publishing specialized forms and templates is not as thorough as I'd have preferred. There is enough information to get started on form design, but the authors stop short here, instead devoting attention to customizing using Visual Basic.

Using Outlook 97 has never been easier, January 13, 1998

This review is from: Special Edition Using Microsoft Outlook 97 (Using ... (Que)) (Paperback)
I always look forward to the next release of great software like Microsoft Outlook, or Frontpage, or Word, etc. I'm the kind of person who, for some reason, has to have the latest and greatest. Unfortunately, I was never able to find the documentation and reference material I needed on the "latest and greatest" until I found QUE special edition books. Using Microsoft Outlook is one the most authoritative books I've read about Outlook...And there are plenty out there now that Outlook has been around a while. The writing is clear and unassuming. The authors explained even the most complex functions with ease and I didn't once feel like an idiot. Whenever I have a question about Outlook, I turn to QUE's Outlook97 book for the answer. I am a support technician, and most of the answers to users come from the Using Outlook 97 QUE book. My users think I'm an expert now. I'm going to have to tell them to buy there own copy, I can't handle all the special requests! Anyone who asks me for a good reference source for ANY software application hears "Check QUE, they probably have a book on it." Thank you for this book. It's made my job worlds easier.

Good overview - lacks useful information on group scheduling, June 27, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Special Edition Using Microsoft Outlook 97 (Using ... (Que)) (Paperback)
Good on forms - lacks any practical information on using with Exchange Server 5.0. Group enabled scheduling (as done with Schedule+) is not touched.
