good charger for the price with option to charge usb devices.,

its good. can charge 2 devices at the same time.. gps and iphone. can use the gps while driving and charging. supplies adequate voltage. Has a 2 amp fuse. Most gps' are rated for 1 Amp fuses. so if that might be a problem for you, check and decide. i have not had any problems with a higher amp fuse so far. Also it is not a replaceable fuse like the gps chargers. Once its blown, you throw it away i guess. But the gps chargers which came with the gps, had a problem of the spring, fuse and contact housing just coming unscrewed and spilling all over the place. That is why i had to buy a new charger.
What i also did to repair my original gps charger was salvage the spring and contact and cover from a cheap mini usb car charger and went to radioshack to buy the 1 Amp fuse, super glue the stuff. it worked for me. funnily it cost the same as buying this new charger. |
