5.0 out of 5 stars Great Case
This is a really great case for those that don't want a full cover. The fit is super precise. The soft-touch plastic on the front feels great in your hands and the fabric back is equally good. For someone like me that tends to get sweaty hands after holding something plastic for a while the materials are perfect. The case is maybe 3/16" thick so you can lay the Kindle...

3.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Case
This case is made very well. I expected from the photo that it had THREE parts. There is no cover for the usable front of the Kindle (including the screen). This would make it a better traveling case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Case, June 16, 2010

This is a really great case for those that don't want a full cover. The fit is super precise. The soft-touch plastic on the front feels great in your hands and the fabric back is equally good. For someone like me that tends to get sweaty hands after holding something plastic for a while the materials are perfect. The case is maybe 3/16" thick so you can lay the Kindle face down and not have to worry about the screen coming in contact with any surface. Even with phones, I tend to go without any cover because I don't like the added bulk. This case is the perfect compromise. It provides drop and scratch protection with minimal added bulk. I just sat next to a woman on a plane ride home today with a Kindle and a full case and she looked at my case enviously and asked to check it out. If you aren't looking for a full cover, I highly recommend this case.

5.0 out of 5 stars NvrThotIdbyaKindle, June 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This cover fits perfectly over the Kindle, giving it a great feel. The cut-aways for buttons are precise and, with the color difference (between Kindle and cover) accentuate the button locations. Fabric-finish slightly increases the friction, so the Kindle does not slide off the night stand. Excellent job of engineering and design.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great & easy to use, July 6, 2010

I used to have a full book like case and switched to this one when I spotted it in store at Target. I always have my Kindle in my purse and this makes it VERY easy to grab and start reading at any moment I find, waiting in lines, public transit rides, while grabbing a quick meal and around the house. It protects it well although sometimes I worry about the exposed screen in my bag but no issues yet. The material feels great and it doesn't attract dirt as quickly as I thought it might however it has gotten a couple small snags on the material on the back cover. All buttons are easy to access, no complaints there. I was also able to easily clip on a book light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very practical, July 4, 2010

This review is from: Speck Fitted Kindle Case (Fits 6" Display, 2nd Generation Kindle), Gray Houndstooth (Accessory)
This case fits perfectly well, allows for clean and comfortable operation of the Kindle, protects it without being obtrusive. I very much prefer it to other cases that incorporate a folding cover, as it is easier to utilize in narrow spaces such us while reading on the subway, bus, etc. The case has a very funny smell fresh out of the box (must be the plastic material,) but it goes away quickly. It makes the Kindle look elegant, like a dressed-up Chihuahua.

The case was easy to install & had protected my kindle from a few drops onto the floor. Its slim design keeps it from being bulky and fits great into my travel bags, especially my computer backpack for business trips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Design, July 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This cover caught my attention right away. I was looking for something stylish, protective, and modern. I know this will be receiving many compliments when I travel! It is sleek, compact, and does not add bulk. It does add some weight to the kindle, but it makes it feel sturdy and protected. I prefer this over a bulky cover. Great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Retro Fabric Backs, July 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Speck Fitted Kindle Case (Fits 6" Display, 2nd Generation Kindle), Gray Houndstooth (Accessory)
Snaps on in 5 seconds and fits perfectly. Retro pattern fabric back looks snazzy, feels good, and doesn't slip out of your hand. Grippy black front panels are protective and provide nice contrast for the screen print and control buttons. As another reviewer noted, the thickness of the cover effectively recesses the screen so it won't contact a horizontal surface if placed face down. Adds an insignificant amount of weight and near zero bulk. I read the Kindle with its Speck case on, and put the assemblage into a padded, zippered case for storage or transport. (I don't think I'd carry the device open-screened in a purse, even with a Speck cover, unless it was sitting in its own separate compartment.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Warning not for Kindle 3G, December 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got this case on a whim. Hoping it would be the right size for my new Kindle 3G. Boy was I wrong. I read 6" in and I was on board. For future refrences I will look at the other little details before I buy something. But it fits find and dandy on my old Kindle and even my pad I'm not going to deduct stars because I was dumb enough to buy the wrong size for my Kindle. But it's sturdy, stays in place, and if you somehow drop your kindle it saves the screen. I tried with my old Kindle not something I recommend people to try.

Overall a really pretty case. I'm happy I bought the only thing I don't like is that the screen isn't cover. I'm used to seeing cases that cover the cover too but I'll just buy a screen protector no big deal. In the future I will be buying more cases from the makers.
