I just took this armband for it's first test run when I went for a jog. Everything worked as it should, and I'm completely happy with my purchase.

The Pros:
-The gel-like skin and the armband are separate pieces. So, you can use the skin as a protector for your iPod even while you're not exercising. Plus, it makes it easy to use the iPod while jogging since you can remove and use the iPod while the band remains on your arm.

-I was a little worried that the iPod could slip out while running, but it stayed securely in place.

-I experienced no skipping whatsoever. Unless you wildly thrash your arms around while you jog, skipping shouldn't be a problem.

-The hard plastic screen protector fits right under the skin and offers great protection.

-The armband can be adjusted to any size (attaches w/ velcro)

The Cons:
-While there are openings for the earbud headphones and the "hold" switch, there's no opening in the bottom of the skin to attach the USB cord. However, the small slit (for putting the iPod in the skin) is near the bottom, so it's easy to fold the skin down while charging.

-I haven't experienced it yet, but since the armband is a velvety feeling material, I imagine that it could start to smell if used while exercising (and therefore sweating). Regular washing should prevent this though.

Overall, I'm totally satisfied and happy that I chose this armband over others.

This is a nice product, very comfortable and useful. However, the skin that you must use to keep your Ipod in the clip is very thick and prevents you from charging, adding media or using any other carrying accessory until you remove it from this skin. If you use you Ipod for jogging or excersizing exclusively this is a very handy way to carry it.

I've been using this band for several months now and I love it. Good quality band and the skin is thick enough to give solid protection for your ipod. You just have to make sure you snap in the ipod securely so it doesn't wiggle out, but this is easy to due because the rubber creates friction against the case so it won't slide easily. No complaints on my part.

After reading the few reviews I saw on here I thought this would be the armband that would do it for me. Boy was I wrong. The design of this armband is absolutely atrocious. I like the velcro strap but the fact that you put your ipod in a rubbercase that can easily slide out is a joke. I put the ipod into the rubbercase and slid it into the holding area on the armband. I then simulated a running motion and watched my ipod gradually slide out of the holding area. No I wasn't simulating a full sprint, but rather a jog. I could tell if I was at the gym and just walking around, I would hear a crack and see my ipod on the floor. Maybe mine was defective but there is absolutely no stability when the ipod is in the holding area of the armband I purchased. I am very disappointed in this purchase and will be looking for a new armband. By the way I own the 30G Ipod Video. Shipping was spot on so kudos for that.

I spent a lot of time choosing the armband I wanted for my Ipod and this one was definitely the best choice. My favorite feature is that the skin can stay on the Ipod all of the time. There's a flap to fold for charging, I flip it to play my Ipod in the car too. Slightly inconvenient, but not a big deal. It clips straight into the armband, which fits my arm without a foot of extra material. My mom is jealous, and wants one like mine next time she buys one!!

It was difficult finding a comfortable armband for a 30G video ipod, but this band is fantastic. I bought it for my husband and it fits his arm comfortably without slipping when he runs. It's truly worth it- not as bulky as other armbands for this ipod. Also, the plastic casing is detachable and can be used a protective case when the armband is not being used.

I agree with almost everything in the review titled "Great armband" (July 6, 2006), with the following exception: an opening in the bottom of the skin would be helpful to allow for charging, playing in the car, etc. It would be nice not to have to take the ipod in and out of the skin all the time, but I can live with it. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this armband for working out on the treadmill.
