Received this yesterday and took it to a gymnastics party last night. It was a hit! Besides the obvious fun factor, which invoked countless comments, it was exceptionally functional for the gym environment. The foam is thick and holds the iPad 2 securely in place. It easily stands on it's feet, as you see in the Speck picture. We used this so people could video themselves doing different tricks - for example: 'Standing' the iGuy so the iPad was facing the trampoline, making sure the video view was large enough to capture all the activity on the trampolines, then turning the video on, walking to the trampoline, doing our tricks, then walking back to turn the video off and, of course, play it back to see how we looked.

From a protection perspective, the IGuy is fabulous. The foam is thick enough that if it were dropped the iPad would have significant protection, barring hitting the edge of a pointed item with the screen of course. The foam IS thick enough on the front of the iGuy (at least a 1/4 inch on the sides and almost a half inch at the bottom) that the screen would be protected if you dropped the iPad face down onto a flat surface like the floor.

We had at least 20 people using the IGuy last night and I heard nothing but good comments. The holes for the camera, volume, headphones, chargers, and charger are actually useful, though certainly requiring a bit more effort due to the foam. This is particularly true for the charger hole under the right arm. The cover is, of course, not something that fits well with a stack of books or that blends in to any background to 'hide' the iPad from site, but that's hardly this purpose of this cover. For it's purpose: solid protection and over the top fun factor, it's wildly successful....

Update 9/17/2011: Three months of use and I continue to love it. The foam continues to hold the iPad snuggly (despite having removed it from the case more than a few times) It's saved me from scratches and bumps more than once. I still carry it at least weekly to the gym for videos of practice and it continues to preform and draw attention.

Update 2/25/2012: I still love this case. I noticed it was dirty today and took the iPad out and washed the case with soap and water - voile' - not quite new but close. The foam remains snug, even around the openings for the buttons. It's been dropped, knocked over and fallen off a chair but the iPad has never even noticed. Read more ›

These were bought for my classroom. The fumes remain after having them for 5 months.
When I removed them from 6 weeks of summer storage, one of them had sticky goo from some kind of melt down.
Also, very difficult to reach into buttons and connections.

I bought this for a trip we are going on. My two year old loves it. He holds the arms like handles and it's great just to stand on counter for listening to music. Only minor complaint is, it's a little tough putting charger through allotted whole. But I would definitely recommend and buy again if necessary!

I gotta say I was a little skeptical about the color and material of this but it feels nice soft and foamy so the iPad just slips right in and it really makes watching movies on it more fun like an actual TV screen. The orange color i got is also really vibrant and cute.

This cover is perfect for protecting my iPad from my 17 month old son! I wouldn't recommend this case for anyone that wants to actually remove it with any frequency though - it's hard to get on and off. I'll admit: I find myself using it with the case on it (but not out in public ;). A great product for using around kids.

While not the most business-like case for protecting the iPad, the iGuy provides really strong protection for the iPad around the house. And it is FUN! Everyone who sees it loves it.

Has safely helped my iPad navigate tumbles down stairs and from the counter to the floor. Great for kids. The design allows for the iPad to stand up or lay down with the keyboard at an angle for typing.

I already had an InvisibleShield from Zagg on the screen of my iPad, so I was not concerned about protecting the screen. I travel with a Targus VuScape case so the front and back are protected when traveling.

I did not give the iGuy a five star rating because the case I received did not seem to be cut 100% correct. I had to add a spacer along one side so that it was easier to connect the power supply with the case on the iPad.

This item was a great hit with my children initially, but after a while they, and I, could not be bothered with fitting the iPad into the case. It might still be a good purchase if you have toddlers interacting with the iPad, however the materials used give off a very strong and unpleasant odor that severely detract from the experience of using this product.
