Protects well, makes a bit more bulky,

I've got an iPod Photo 30G in mine, on the 20G setting (back reversed). It fits snugly but does add some bulk over and above the case plastic.
I've been using it for 2 weeks and I'm very happy with the level of protection. I thought I would remove the click-wheel cover, but it was turned out to be convenient to use. The case is "sticky" so harder to get in and out of my pocket than a shiny case, but thats a good thing most of the time (sticks well to my car dashboard). There is no protection for the top and bottom ports. A rubber grommet would be nice (and I'm surprised that no third paty offers them). Consequently its not sand-proof. I'd rate it 5 stars if they made a smaller size 'specially for my iPod, but other than that I find it to be a perfect rugged case.

Tough as Nails....,

I love my ToughSkin. The rubber bumpers and casing protect the iPod from the shock associated with drops and oopsies as well as providing a better grip to hold the iPod.
There is a clear plastic cover for the display and another clear plastic cover for the wheel which can flip open easily to access the iPod controls. The wheel protector is also removable if you wish to do away with it. I'd recommend the Apple wired remote control or an AirClick for iPod remote control to access the volume, previous/next track, play/pause, and sleep functions. The rubber bumpers also prevents you from hooking up accessories that rest on top of the iPod but it can be easily remedied by cutting the rubber skin and fitting the accessory. That's what I did to accomodate my AirClick remote control. I used a pair of wire cutters to cut into it. I've heard others using a brand new Exacto Blade to cut into it as well. It fits the 60 GB iPod nicely. But it made my 20GB iPod bulkier because it was designed to hold the 60 GB iPod. The ToughSkin comes with a backplate with bumpers to secure the slimmer 20GB iPods into the ToughSkin. I wished they made a slimmer profile ToughSkin. But bulk is a small price to pay for protection. Save your iPod from damage by getting the ToughSkin. However, if you want to completely seal your iPod from dust and water, think about the OtterBox instead. Otherwise, the ToughSkin will always be the first thing to get whenever I see my friends getting a new iPod.

The Ultimate Protection but Doesn't Play Well with Others,
This review is from: Speck ToughSkin Case for iPod classic 4G (Clear) (Electronics)
Part of having an iPod is having the best iPod "toys". ToughSkin is the Ultimate Protection against dirt and light rain(not water-proof). The skin includes clear plastic covers for the screen and wheel (flip down). The cons are you have to remove it from the skin in order to use it with other toys like iTrip, iVoice and the Bose speakers. If you are rough on your Pod, this is a must!

Excellent protection with good looks!,

Yes, good looks! That is precisely what I want to say. The image featured here does not really do justice to this product.
I recently bought (rather got it as a gift from my wife) a 60 GB IPOD photo, and was looking for a good case to protect this rather expensive gift. After doing my research on the internet, I settled on this one, although the only concern I had was about the looks. The images on the internet made the IPOD look ugly! I guess the protection factor outweighed the looks, so I got this anyway and I am glad that I did! The IPOD does look a little bulkier, however, this case does not look as bad as it is shown in the images. In fact the ipod looks better, not to mention the excellent protection it provides. If you want to protect your investment, I would suggest you go for this product. Price is always a factor, would definitely appreciate if this cost a little lesser though!

Good cover but not the best fitting.,

I bought it for the 4G iPod and found that it was still loose fitting after using the plastic spacer. It may work better for the photo. This also made it about twice as thick. It also gets stretched out around the screen from putting it on. Otherwise, it is made of a good material and looks very cool. The removeable screen and wheel protectors are also nice to have.

Usefull item to protect you precious ipod, if you don't care about dimension...the ipod becomes quite bigger! If I could, I would checked alternatives before buying it...but it's what I expected. Good.

When I bought this case I thought I was buying the exact same one I already owned. I wear my Ipod when I work in my yard and I liked having a thick rubber case for protection. My current case had yellowed and the clip had begun to rust. However, although the new case was the same thick rubber as I was accustomed to, the case was not the same. The window opening for the screen was too small. Also, the cover for the wheel looked silly and would get in the way during normal use - it would have to be opened any time you want to use the wheel. That's not very functional when your Ipod is clipped to your waist. Since I got a good price and I would have to pay for shipping if I returned the case, I decided to use the new clip to replace the rusted one on my old case and threw the rest of the new case in the trash.

protects the ipod but doesn't allow me to use an iTrip,

I was planning on using this in the car with an iTrip but because it is so think it doesn't allow the iTrip to plug in. If you have an iTrip I wouldn't buy it but otherwise its a good protector.

This skin is thick, and protects well with its extra thick bumpers. The silicone-like material feels high quality. I use it on my Ipod Photo 60GB without the spacers and it's a perfect fit. The openings on top and bottom are properly placed and centered for form and fit. It's also very easy to grip, and controls and inputs are easily accessible. It does make the Ipod a lot bigger in size, but it's the ultimate protection for a soft shell. My only gripe is that it is on the pricey side for what I'm using it for.
