I looked at quite a number of skins for my iPod Photo before settling on the Toughskin case. This skin is really rugged and protects all of the important surfaces.

The skin is made almost of tire rubber, it feels so sturdy, You get solid bumpers on all of the corners. There's a back belt clip, which to be honest I don't use at all. I wouldn't trust my iPod hanging on a plastic clip.

There's a clear plastic front window that I don't use either. The regular glass is so nice and crisp that I hate to "dull" that image by putting yet another layer of plastic over it. Of course if you tend to abuse your iPod, it might be worth it to you to put that screen protector in.

On the other hand I *do* use the built in wheel protector, and think it's great. It's easy to move out of the way when you're using the wheel, and to latch back in place when you want to keep that control panel protected.

I really love my toughskin and easily think it'll help extend the life and look of my iPod. It fits my iPod Photo 60 gig perfectly - and also should fit other iPod brands. It comes with spacers to account for other varieties being slightly smaller.

after owning this case for 2 weeks i'm very happy i bought it. i feel like my ipod is completely safe now. this is very important to me as i'm very hard on my belongings. (especially little electronic ones) of course it's a bit bulky but that's a price i'm willing to pay for a completely safe i-pod. i have a 20GB and it fit perfectly.

I ordered this item and it is extremely overpriced, it's made in China, for $1 and sells for $30. The belt clip has already broke after about 1 months use. In order to use the ITrip it had to be cut to accodomodate the Itrip. It does protect the IPOD well but it cheaply made.

Great protection for the iPod, but it intereferes with the use of a Griffin iTrip FM transmitter or an iTalk. To use them, you have to peel back the Toughskin!

I have a 30G IPod photo. Yes, this case DOES fit the 30G, but you have to use this crummy plastic spacer to fill up all of the extra space inside. This case easily doubled the width of my IPod and made it heavier. I could have just tied some old pillows around it and saved myself the $30. (That's how big it seems with the case on) There's no way that the screen saver and wheel cover are going to last - they are not really secured in any significant fashion. They will get lost. The thumb wheel cover should open from the bottom, not from the top. It's also not the bright blue color like in the photo. It's more like a washed out blue gummy-worm color.

I got this case with my new iPod 30 GB. It is definitely completely protective. The touch wheel is easily accessible by opening the little round door that protects it. The iPod does not fall our of any pocket or pouch easily once it is in this case (a good thing).

Unfortunately, a little cutting with a scissors of the high top side edges is necessary in order to use any accessory (itrip, iAirClick remote) on the top of the iPod. I did this and with the accessory as a pattern, it cut easily enough. You may not want to order this case if you don't feel comfortable doing this.

The dock on the bottom is readily accessible and nothing is required there.

It is not at all easy to take the iPod in and out of this case. This does not bother me because I have no desire or need to do so.

All and all this is a very good case for maximum protection

I'd dropped my TouchSkin encased iPod from the top of a Stairmaster (about 8 ft.) onto a concrete floor with absolutely no damage to my beloved iPod.
For a tight fit, its still pretty easy to get on and off. The only complaint (and a minor one) is that the plastic "doors" over the opening don't seal very well. In fact, I lost the cover the click wheel opening already. These may be more of a hassle than they are worth.

I use this item every day when I work out. It has logged many miles on the tredmill. I do a lot of brending and crunching and this case hasn't broken yet.

Potential buyers please be aware!! There is a problem at the warehouse with these cases, TWICE I was sent the wrong product with the "correct" label. The Amazon barcode sticker on the back of the item reads for "iPod 4G and iPod Photo", but what you actually recieve is a case for iPod MINI, the packaging of the product states that clearly on the front made for iPod MINI. Amazon tried to resolve it and sent me another case with the exact same issue: 4G & Photo barcode on the back, and the actual product is for MINI, when I explained the situation the second time I was advised that they would have to further research the problem and could not provide the product.

I have other Speck cases and they are great, but if you want this one for your 4G or Photo iPod, I'd watch out.

The wheel protector is a plastic add-on that makes operating your Ipod impossible while its attached. The toughskin is so thick and bulky that your Itrip will not fit unless you break out a knife and scissors like I did. Only took me a few minutes to cut off enough excess to make it fit. The toughskin is rubber and thick but not so thick that it makes the Ipod awkard or weird. The belt clip is useless. It just spins like crazy. Not a bad product but I really wish they had said it was not compatiable with the Itrip. Nevertheless it will protect your Ipod if you drop it and thats what matters.
