Karen Anderson is a member of the class. A poet from the USA she is in New Zealand on a Fulbright scholarship. Invigorating literary wardrobes,

Spectacular Babies is a great read for aspiring writers. Some bits I really liked, others not so much, others found a bit irritating, but overall I found the juxtaposition of styles, genres and literary wardrobes invigorating. There is poetry, memoir and various kinds of fiction. There are notes from reading and writing journals, directly examining the creative process. Writer bios add to the richness of the scrapbook feel. Finally, the writing exercise "Spectacular Babies" is included along side some responses to its challenge.
