The Magic of Spiders,
By Mary M. Durel (Bandon, Oregon United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Spectacular Spiders (Paperback)
This is one of the most delightful educational books for children I've seen. The illustrations capture the magic of science yet are as accurate in detail as a photograph. The spiders' world opens to the reader as Oz opened to Dorothy. The writing too is exciting, both direct and poetic - a rarity. A particularly good touch is the extra information given in the appendix, suggesting that there is so much more - fully as interesting - to learn about spiders. Kudos to both the author and the illustrator!

This review is from: Spectacular Spiders (Paperback)
This book did not contain much information about spiders in general, the story is about a little garden spider. The title of the book would suggest it was about different types of spiders but this is not the case. The story is cute and there are a few pages at the end oft snook containing spider facts. If you are looking fora story contain information about several types ofspiderthen try another book.
