Book Description

Brimstone Network Trilogy
Just when thirteen-year-old Bram Stone has gotten the hang of running the new Brimstone Network, an unexpected shock is sent his way. Ligeia, queen of the specter -- the mother he's never known -- suddenly appears in his life, leading Bram to explore his specter half as he never has before.

The reunion is overshadowed by a dark threat from Barnabas, an evil specter warlord. In this final showdown between the Brimstone Network and Barnabas, Bram and his team must join forces with the unlikeliest of allies to wage a war against their foe and his secret weapon: the mysterious being known as Trinity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, September 10, 2009
This review is from: Specter Rising (Brimstone Network Trilogy) (Paperback)
Now that 13-year-old Abraham (Bram) Stone has finally released the news that the Brimstone Network still exists, the Network has been quickly rebuilding their headquarters and recruiting new agents.

As the son of the late leader, Elijah Stone, Bram has grown accustomed to his new role, and imagines that his father would be proud of the work his team has done. Now that the magickal barrier between earth and the other realms has been weakened, thanks to the efforts of the black sorcerer, Crowley, the world needs the Network more than ever to protect it from dark forces that would threaten it.

Bram's position as the new leader proves to be precarious when an assassin breeches the Network headquarters and blows up his office. As Bram's friends scramble to find out if Bram survived the blast, Bram finds himself in another realm, saved unexpectedly by the followers of Ligeia, the mother he has never known.

As queen of the Specter, Ligeia's rule now hangs in the balance as the warlord Barnabas, aided by the powerful being, Trinity, attempts to detain her and prevent the ascension of the Specter to a more peaceful way of life. It's up to Bram, and the other members of the Brimstone Network, to stop an invasion of epic proportions that could destroy the earth and the human race forever.

This exciting conclusion to THE BRIMSTONE NETWORK trilogy brings us back to the start of the series, and answers many of the questions that cropped up in the first book. Fans of the series will lament the end, but revel in the satisfying wrap-up that pushes the characters to the brink.

5.0 out of 5 stars Local Haunts, January 26, 2009
This review is from: Specter Rising (Brimstone Network Trilogy) (Paperback)
After the death of his father, a young boy named Bram suddenly had to take up his father's mantle. This proves to be no easy task, as he led The Brimstone Network, an organization of intelligent and powerful warriors and sorcerers.

Thankfully, Bram is up to the task. He battles the forces of evil with the same strength and determination he uses every day to contain his own supernatural powers. Bram is half-specter, having inherited his powers from the mother he's never met - until now. And she's not the only one to reappear in his life unexpectedly - villainous Barnabas is back and as bad as ever. In order to face his foes and reunite with his family, Bram will have to draw upon both halves of his heritage, human and specter.

I love all that The Brimstone Network has to offer: good guys, bad guys, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, mysterious beings, otherworldly powers, descriptive action sequences, and strong characters of varying ages. I recommend this series to anyone and everyone who like action-adventure stories infused with supernatural powers.

Specter Rising is the third book in The Brimstone Network series. Make sure to read the books in order!
