I bought this for my hats but they fall off from time to time. It works fine for baseball caps as you can hook it through the loop. The rack doesn't fit flush with my door so it makes noises every time it closes. For hats, it is best to buy a Hat/Coat Stand.

I purchased this after reading various reviews and after looking for a rack that would hold items but look pleasing to the eye. Well this rack is a good buy for the money. It holds all the items and goes well with my interior decor. I may order a second one for another door judging by the success of the first one.
