I bought this based on the good review of others. I have to say i am disappointed in this product.
It is attractive, but the black ball feet are put on my holder in such a way that just touching the thing makes it fall over. Perhaps mine is defective, but how would i know? This is aggravating to me. a side note. The paper towel dust created while using this product shows instantly.

Spectrum Black Scroll Paper Towel Holder,
Good Quality. Looks nicer than the picture. Space saving design. Paper towel roll is very easily changed. Shipping seemed over priced.

I am digging the Spectrum Scroll line of kitchen accessories. This paper towel holder as the previous review states looks so much better in person. I also own the utensil holder which is an absolute beauty. Very tasteful pieces that will spruce up your kitchen in style.

I already had a fruit holder in my kitchen which matches the design of this product. And I love it. So my expectations were high and still somehow exceeded. Most paper towel holders I've owned are taller than they need to be, have annoying tops which need screwed off to replace the roll, or don't have enough weight to them to steadily remove a towel without using both hands. AND this item is priced right. I would gladly purchase this item a second time.

Though this is a fairly sturdily built product, I still find it a bit too lightweight for the purpose. I can successfully yank a paper towel from it, but at the risk of pulling it over. Have to use two hands I suppose. If it had been just a tad heavier it might have functioned properly. Maybe most people have two hands free when they need a paper towel. I often find myself needing a towel quick, and only have one hand free - or one hand clean. Otherwise, a decent looking piece of hardware. My wife picked it out and she likes the way it looks in the kitchen. She has other items that match it.

Although this item is attractive, it is very hard to use. The bottom is uneven so the roll does not sit properly. Unless you use one hand to hold it steady it falls over every time you pull off a new sheet. I would not buy this item again.

Beautiful to look at but difficult to use.,

I have had this paper towel holder for several years and am now looking to replace it. While it is quite attractive, t is extremely light weight and flimsy. It is impossible to tear off one sheet with one hand. There are three knobs (feet) on the base that support the unit on the counter, so it is simply not stable to begin with and tips over very easily. Additionally, if it doesn't tip over while trying to pull off a towel, then it causes the roll to unravel and you get more sheets pulled off then wanted. Sometimes (more times than not) both happen. I bought this paper towel holder because of it's wrought iron design, which I really like. It looks great on the counter, but I'm so tired of fighting with it on a daily basis that I finally give up. My folks have one of those more expensive paper towel holders that have a heavy base and are designed to be one-handed. After using theirs, I've decided to replace mine. I hate to spend three times the money, but for a little less frustration I guess it's worth it.

I needed a paper towel holder. And before you say "No one NEEDS a paper towel holder" I would explain. I have a tendancy to need to just use 1 hand to pull off paper towels, while I am cutting up meat or cooking, I usually have messy hands, and I can only spare 1 of those to grab paper towels and then try to hold the paper towel roll against my body with my arm, and trying to tear off a towel with my hand or mouth. This is inconvenient. So technically I did not NEED this...but I really wanted it. And it has been very useful.I will admit, it does not have a heavy weighted bottom, which has both up and down sides. The upside is, it is light to pick up by the top swirl and move it around one handed. The downside is that if you grab a paper towel and yank without this being angled correctly...you are just going to drag the whole thing off the counter. It does seem to be sturdy (it has hit the tile a few times) and I really like how it looks. But the weight is something to be wary of if you have to grab and yank towels off of it often.

Works well, is fairly heavy. The scrollwork piece doesn't really help you to rip off a piece, but I didn't anticipate that it would.
