Our family enjoys this game/puzzle very much. We chose Spectrum over Colorku because of the storage drawers built into the board. The 'stones' are not uniform in size though do not differ in any systematic pattern which would help with identification. The board is veneer over particle board which is revealed in the surface divisions. Colorku seems to be a slightly higher quality production of a similar puzzle/game.

Our family got this as a Christmas present and we played it thru the holidays. It's neat because there are different games that can be played, one is a competitive game that works great up to 6+ people. There's also the traditional solo sudoko game but with colors. It's more visual than the number suduko and more interesting.
I recommend this game to anyone that loves sudoku and would like a little visual flavor to the puzzles.

We've played this game three nights in a row with 2-6 people because it's fun and competitive. It's a twist on sudoku with colors instead of numbers and you can compete with the other players, play alone or collaborate with other players to solve different puzzles.
There are three games you can play, but the spectrum challenge is the most fun with a group.

I purchased this game because I had so much fun playing it with my sister-in-law (who was the first to discover it) and the rest of our family over the holidays. We played for hours! Her model was slightly different than this one, with painted wooden balls in place of the glass pieces featured in this game. I had opted for the glass version of this game because I knew I wanted to keep it out in the open in my home, & thought the glass game pieces would add an aesthetically appealing twist to it's appearance. When the game arrived, some of the pieces had already been chipped & broken. This was workable, and not a deal-breaker, but the next problem I encountered was--the orange & yellow pieces are virtually indistinguishable from one another on the board! It is very difficult to tell one from the other, and requires moving the board around to catch the right light or picking up the pieces and laying them on a white background to be sure you have the right color. For anyone who has played Colorku, you can imagine the wrench this throws into the works when you are trying to solve a puzzle--a big problem! I even played with some friends to see if this perception was limited to just me, & they had the same issues, which get compounded to an even greater extent when more than one player is involved. Sadly,I will be returning this game & replacing with the cheaper yet more user-friendly wooden version...

Our family loves playing this game. Playing alone, you can use the board to solve puzzles. Our daughter finds it easier to solve the puzzles using colors. The competitive game really takes a lot of thought ... to keep from getting blocked off. The board looks great and can stay out as a coffee table piece -- it creates a lot of interest and questions. The drawers are well made and add to the quality.

I think that this is a great game, awesome for kids and adults. You can play alone or with a group. I have the most fun with it playing with a lot of people. It is a great overall game. The board is solid wood and really tough.

After a year of play the product still looks good. I use the newspaper puzzles so I have a new one every day.

I bought this game as a gift for my niece. She loved it and insists that we play whenever I visit her. Its somehow both relaxing and stimulating. The little gem pieces are a very nice touch.
