5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, June 10, 1998
This review is from: Spectrum of Ecstasy: Embracing Emotions as the Path of Inner Tantra (Rag Book)
Spiritual seekers often suppose that their natural human emotions are (at best) irrelevant or (at worst) a positive hindrance to the realization of enlightenment. With brilliant insight and mind-stopping humor, the authors demonstrate how open-eyed perception and acceptance of one's own emotions are actually essential to realization.

5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful point of entry, December 17, 2011

This review is from: Spectrum of Ecstasy: Embracing Emotions as the Path of Inner Tantra (Rag Book)
This book provides a fine point of entry for those interested in the Dzogchen Buddhist view that uses emotion as a basis for meditation. It combines an easily recognisable and comprehensible perspective on the emotional states we experience as human beings, with one of the most profound of Buddhist practices - Dzogchen Trek-chod. The authors are disciples of several of the most revered Buddhist teachers from the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, yet write in a style entirely comprehensible to Westerners. Delightful.
