Book Description

0964162342 978-0964162341 December 10, 2002
This book consists of case descriptions of headache, prepared by headache specialists who range in their training specialty: family practice, internal medicine, dentistry, emergency medicine, and neurology. All of the cases are presented initially without a diagnosis; the diagnosis is then provided during the discussion. Recommended reading selections complete each chapter.

The hope is that physicians will read the case presentations and try to come up with a diagnosis and approach to treatment before reading the discussion.

The goal is to help physicians identify migraine in its many forms, as well as some common headache disorders sharing features with migraine, and to discuss up-to-date management of these headaches.

5.0 out of 5 stars Headache Case Studies, June 7, 2004

This review is from: The Spectrum of Migraine (Case-Based Medicine Teaching Series) (Paperback)
This book is an excellent review of the spectrum of migraine and the current theories of pathophysiology. Multiple specialists in the headache world give strategies of how to treat the varied presentations of headache, not just migraine. The writing style and format hold your attention and is at an appropriate depth for the clinician.
