The virtues of consuming flax seed are much-extolled, but many people don't realize that you can't get any nutritional benefit from eating the seeds whole (they simply pass through your system). You could ground the flax seeds yourself, or you can buy a great product like this one by Spectrum. Ground flax is a wonderful addition to your diet--just 2 TB adds protein (3g), fiber (3g), and healthy fats. Plus, flax has a delicious nutty taste that is perfect on cereal, yogurt, salads, or even as a filler in things like meatloaf. Finally, if you store it in the freezer, it will keep for months--highly recommended!

This product is so good for you. I sprinkle it on my cereal, salads, in yogurt, etx. A nice nutty flavor. And the health benefits are outstanding. I highly recommend this product.

Its a great product, its very healthy and taste pretty decent. It comes in an easy to use bag. Its great for me and not much sacrafice how could I not strongly recommend for others..

Growing up on an organic farm that raised flax, the quality on this product is great! Highly recommend!

I really use this every day it has helped reduce my cholesterol. Helps to regulate without bloating. It also taste good. I order 3 to 4 packs each time so I don't run out.

Very shady business practice!!! With an expiration date in two months for a health food product, this vendor failed to disclaim this piece of critical information in the description. See also in my comments about their shady return policy.

I was happy when I got the product. But, when I looked at the expiration date, I was shocked - it expires in Jan, 2012! We are in mid-Nov here!!!! I don't know about everyone else but that's probably the first and most important piece of information affecting my decision when purchasing health food products. It would be nice for them to put it out there so I don't have to waste my time ordering and returning it!!!!

I am on my third bag of this ground flaxseed...this product is the best tasting! super fresh! I add 2 TB to my morning bowl of steel cut oats with 1 tsp of cinnamon...the taste is nutty and yummy! not to mention the wonderful health benefits!

This product works great. I eat pretty healthy. I added this to my cereal every morning and the results were amazing. It truly has antioxidant effects. I have noticed a glowing complexion as a result as well as an excellent taste. The berries mix is the best since I refuse to consume these fruits. I also live where produce is scarce in the winter. Great way to access B vitamin daily too!

I love Spectrum's Flaxmeal. It's mild in flavor, finely ground, and fresh. The mildest flavor and highest quality flaxmeal I've tried. From a great company too!

Flaxseed's health benefits are outstanding! Regardless of the great nutritional value of flaxseed, it also tastes very good in oatmeal. I make a big pot of "steel cut" oatmeal (the quick way is throw a cup of oats in 4 cups of boiling water and just let it sit overnight), put in a good helping of flaxseed, and you have a wonderful delicious and healthy breakfast! Feel free to add a little cinnamon, peanut butter, fruit (bananas, blueberries, or strawberries are typical choices for me), or your own oatmeal favorite additions. Also, adding a helping of hemp protein, chia seeds, and/or maca powder to the oatmeal can create a very healthy multi-grain oatmeal that will keep your energy levels high all day. You might even find yourself not needing coffee!
