I purchased these markers because I really can't afford the Copic markers and I read the reviews on them , but I figured since I never used Copic markers that I wouldn't know what I was missing. I have to say they are a fairly good marker. The thing I didn't like about these is the fact that they don't have a brush like tip. I found it hard to get into some smaller places. They also seem to bleed if u have them tip down and don't put it to paper right away. I recommend first coloring on a scratch piece of paper just so that the ink is even when it comes out.

If you are looking to get into the alcohol marker craze for your crafts without paying an arm and a leg, these are just the thing you are looking for. I have the entire 168 color set, and I can't tell you enough how much I love them. Are they as good as Copics? ProMarkers? I have no idea as I have never tried those brands, but why should I when these are great. They blend smoothly, have a great color range plus the fact they refillable and have replacements nibs is a win in my book. The square barrel is a nice touch. It feels good in the hand and makes it so the markers don't roll around your desk.

A lot of people who use Copics like their brush tip. Spectrums do not have this feature. These markers have a bullet tip instead, which is great to get into small spaces. Be warned, these are very juicy markers. It took a little time to get used to that and adjust my coloring. I found the paper does make all the difference. Also, the caps on some of them are hard to get off. They will loosen up with use. One of my ink sponges flew out of the barrel when I took a too tight cap off and fell on my project. I was not happy, but it did only happen once. Crafter's Companion is aware of this and is working to correct this problem. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Same as my review of the lights pack... 7 or 24 dried out on arrival. The colors are beautiful, a few too many grey options but still beautiful. I'm going to keep trying for a good pack.

This is my third set of Spectrums in a a couple of weeks. As always the caps fit too tight and several of these markers were leaking all over the box. I didn't realize it until after I opened them up, or I would return them.

I decided to buy these mainly because of the price difference from the other top brands. From other Reviews, people complained that some markers were dried out and that there were duplicate colors. None of this was true for my set. They were all moist and different colors. There are some colors that are very similar to eachother but when put next to eachother I can tell they are slightly different which I don't mind cause it helps with blending. The only complaint I have is what other people complain about is that the color on the tops don't match all the actual ink colors which is annoying cause I have to test the color each time before I color with it.

Seven of the 24 markers were either completely dried out or almost all dried out. This seems to be a problem with the Noir Dark set judging by the comments. (Happily, all the markers in the Brights set were fine.) These are being returned tomorrow and I would not recommend this particular set to anyone. Save your money, time and frustration.

These are a great cheap alternative to Copic markers! They work just as well. Granted, there aren't as many colors, but you don't really need them. These pens blend very well. They're a must-have for anyone wanting alcohol-based markers that aren't as costly as Copics. If you want Copic colors as well as these, they work together very well! I used them with the few Copic markers that I have, and they worked together wonderfully. All in all, I'm very impressed by these pens for their very low price!
