I never used Coconut Oil of any kind, I like Coconut but not a Big Fan, I was surprised to see that "Spectrum Organic Refined Coconut Oil, 14 Ounce- 12 per Case" comes congealed into a Thick White Paste. An Oil that is Good for just about everything, 1 Tablespoon has 120 Calories. I have used it in Baking and Cooking instead of Butter with excellent results and the aroma of Coconut is not that noticeable. I have also applied it to my Face, made Nice and Soft...Next I want to try it on my Scalp I want to see if it will Grow Thicker Hair...

Coconut Oil is Recommended as a Supplement, Take 1 Tablespoon 1 to 4 times daily, maybe use it as a Spread or in Salad Dressings and Smoothies

FOR COOKING: Use it in Place of Butter, Margarine, Shortening or other Cooking Oils for Baking and Frying in Temperatures up to 350 F degrees

FOR SKIN CARE: Use it as a Moisturizer Lotion, Place Jar in warm water to Liquefy, Massage small amounts onto the Skin

FOR HAIR CARE: Use it as a Conditioner, Place Jar in warm water to Liquefy, then apply 2 teaspoons to the Hair 1 to 2 Hours before Washing

Coconut Oil is a Natural Energy source, it contains High levels of Healthy type of Fat called MCTs "Medium Chain Triglycerides" Pure Form of Coconut Oil, MCTs are different from other Fats primarily because they are digested much more easily and efficiently. This makes them an extremely efficient Energy Source much more than Sugar. Also MCTs don't add to Fat Cells or form Artery Hardening Plaque as readily as other Fats. Coconut Oil is a Good addition to my Physical Activity Exercise and Weight Loss Programs. I like Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to the point that has become a Staple inn my Kitchen! ...Thank You D.D.

I use coconut oil for a replacement for butter in frying and seasoning vegetables. Spectrum Organic is the best that I have found.

This is an awesome product. Price was a little high, however. If ordering any more than a few oz, look elsewhere.

I bought this refined coconut oil by mistake. This was my first time trying the brand Spectrum coconut oil, I had a 2.00 coupon on any Spectrum product, and I read reviews on Spectrum products, I found great reviews on the organic unrefine coconut oil. While shopping in Wal-Mart I found the Spectrum refined coconut oil. I bought a bottle, and immediatly after opening the lid I could tell the difference between organic extra virgin unrefined coconut oil and the organic refined coconut oil. 1. refined has no smell, I like the slight coconut smell, 2. When applying to my skin, it doesn't moisturize as well. 3. And of course the taste is quite different, I found it bland. If I was blind-folded, I wouldn't think it was coconut oil. My conclusion, there is a difference between refined and unrefined coconut oil, and I prefer the slight sweet coconut oil taste and smell.
