This book did an outstanding job of preparing my child for the state test. It gives clear, concise reviews for the test scope and provides drills for each topic. The problem items are very similar to those in the real test. Many test taking tips are given and demonstrated. I wish it had more pages. For additional practice, I found Beestar very helpful, too (a nice Houston community web site http://www.beestar.org). My child scored fairly high thanks to such like-real standard test drills.

This book serves as an excellent source for test practicing for your child! I bought this for my third grader who will be taking state tests this year and could use a lot of practice skills for testing. As a homeschooling mom in the state of California, this workbook works wonders for our home classroom and study time! It is close to the real test, or helps your child know what to expect on the real thing.
