The SpeedFreak is an excellent add-on for your controller. The thumb positioning helps you keep your car on the road (and in one piece)! For not being a racing game fan, I enjoy using this for games with Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. It works pretty well combined with an FPS Freak (SpeedFreak on the left, FPS Freak on the right). At least with the SpeedFreak I can keep up with my Son (who is a lot better than me in Forza and Nascar!) Also, worry not because the SpeedFreak is great for all finger sizes. I've gotten my 9-year old to use them and they only make him better. (Unfortunately =) )

There are a couple of things about these that help me out: thumb won't slip off the left stick, regardless of how you hold the controller you always know exactly which way the stick will respond. If you are racing (Dirt, Forza) and need reliable steering - putting one of these on the left stick will help. If you are running for your life (GTA, Assassins Creed) and can't dial in on cover or hiding spots quickly enough - have a bit more control. If you are laying on the sofa holding the controller all lazy - it is quickly apparent which way is true left, right... pretty nice addition and doesn't get in the way.

I got this as a filler to get free shipping. I was not expecting allot but it does what it supposed to do and does it well. I got way better results in driving games with SpeedFreek. It makes your steering more precise. Also my hands do not hurt as much after playing for a long time.

Having purchased 3 sets of the fps freek, I am sold on Kontrol Freek. Believe it or not their products do work.I really don't play racing games, but with modnation racers coming out for the ps3, I wanted something that would feel right. I downloaded sonic and sega allstar racing to test it out and it just feels right.

You cannot use them both, the left joystick it works great, you get used to playing with it on your stick and you'll never go back. The RH joystick, NOT SO MUCH, you can't hit the ABXY buttons when that damn thing is on there. So i bought the control freek joystick extended for the RH controller - much better. Use one of the two you get in the package, hold onto the other one in case it breaks

I've used these for quite a while now. I only use 1 single SpeedFreek on my left stick. This creates effort-less strafing and a huge advantage when racing and drifting since you're not having to keep your thumb applied directly to the stick. I've never seen a person able to drift better than myself when I use these. I am able to slightly tap to the left and right simultaneously to keep perfect control while in drifts where this would not be possible without overturning not having the SpeedFreek on. Persona Tip (IMO): Use these on your left stick with an FPS Freek on your right stick. I also use a "GRIP-IT" only under the speed-freek (requires some bending) for additional grip. I'm more of a casual gamer now, but this is clearly an advantage. They're cheap and worth a try. If somehow you don't like them (give them a fair trial period), give them to an appreciative friend or younger sibling :)

Had no idea what a difference the speed freek makes when playing a game on my PS3 a real cool little gadget you will not go wrong by adding one of the speed freeks to your PS3 or XBOX controller...

First off I love the Control Freeks, they are an ingeniously simply and great product.
I wanted to try the Speed Freeks for COD and Battlefield games. This product may be good for racing which is strictly left to right, but when you have to look up, down, left and right very quickly the two sides of the small unit tend to get in the way. Great for racing, but not so good for first person shooters. Which yes, I know they were designed for racing. This is simply one data point among many.

The "arms" of the FREEK tend to hit my other analog stick during some movements, and restricts the thumb being able to quickly switch from analog to D-Pad (talking PS3 here... and FPS only...) Im sure these work better with driving games, Im going to try them for driving and write another review.
