5.0 out of 5 stars Thrash Kills !, December 10, 2007

According to this CD, thrash is coming back into fashion. I thought that happened when Schmier rejoined DESTRUCTION! Thrash has always been out there, but it's been difficult to find for many a year.
This CD, though, does help to remedy that problem. The bands on here remind me of the original 'Speed Kills' LP that i bought back in '85 (i still have that record along with Volumes 2 & 3). Nothing's better than fast guitars, denim, leather, and nuclear holocaust.
I recommend this CD as a good starting point if you're unfamiliar with the genre. If you've been following thrash for decades like me, then you already have this with your piles of DESTRUCTION and SODOM discs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrash is Timeless, August 1, 2010

I've always considered myself more of a doom/sludge/black/death metal fan, and sadly, it took me years to appreciate thrash. In part, I'd have to say, it was thanks to great (but little known) compilations such as this one.
I gave mine away, around the time it was released, in hopes of spreading its awesomeness. Years later, I'm about to buy it back from Amazon--I don't believe in downloading.
