I expected quite a bit more considering the price. They're braided, may be nylon, and they're exactly 30 inches long. After that, it goes downhill. These appear to be very ordinary laces; about what you would buy for a pair of street shoes. I seriously doubt any combat group would go to battle with these laces. Just too wimpy. And they loosen up after a while just like most laces.

And they have no aglets. (tapered ends) They appear to be cut off a bulk roll and hastily heat sealed. Or perhaps glued. You could do it better I imagine. Then they're folded and stuffed in a paper wrapper with the word COMBAT printed on it. It's a fairly nice looking wrapper I admit, but it isn't worth an extra $4.

The price was $3.99 plus $4.49 S&H. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered them. Really? Four and a half dollars shipping? They came in a plastic bag which is alright, but gee. Some serious gouging here.

Bottom line: These are VERY ordinary laces maybe worth the $4 price, but not the exorbitant shipping charge.

These are the same as the original laces on issue 8 inch (8 eyelet) combat boots. These are smaller in diameter than 550 Para Cord laces and slide easily through the eyelets.
84" seems long until you pull the boot open to get your foot in then it's just right. With the Nato eyes I can just pull the ends and that tightens the laces from toe to ankle. Tie a proper shoelace knot (left over left then left over left makes a square knot), even up the loops and tails and tuck them in around the ankles. Neat, secure and snag proof.

These laces stay tied all day without having to be double knotted or tucked in. So far very satisfied with them.

These laces were purchased to replace the ones that came with a pair of fashion combat boots. They are exactly the right length and the color is a nice dark black. The fact that they are nylon means they will last a good long time.
This was a pleasant and easy transaction.
