I bought this pair for my 2 year old toddler for our vacation to the shore this summer. I sprayed the sunblock covering my son's arms, neck, back and chest, and head out to the shore. Once there, I put the armbands on, and let him swim in the ocean or in the pool. My son's underarms turned blue (the color of the armbands) within 5 minutes of usage. And this dye I could not remove with soap or shampoo, so he ended up walking around like that for a week. I also tried it with my girl, and ruined 2 of her swimsuits - laundry detergent can't remove it either. I think when this product gets in contact with sunblock solutions, the dye simply comes off and gets absorbed by the skin or clothing. Would not recommend!

This is a nice floatation device for kids who can't swim yet. I do, however, wish that I had checked with my town's rules because when we go to the town pools the lifeguards make me remove the floaties because they say that if the child is in trouble they might not be able to tell. I don't quite understand this theory, but it seems I am not allowed to have my kids wear them at the pool. I guess I bought them for the six inch deep kiddie pool in my backyard. Hmmmm, now I guess I can go look for something else I can buy but can't use. Perhaps some water shoes that I can't use in the water either????

I didn't care at all for the roll up style of swimmies. They were a huge pain and after a while of my daughter wearing them they were just too tight even though she's in the recommended weight range for them.
You have to roll so hard getting them off that my daughter literally had to hold on to the column of our back porch with the other arm and I felt like it was going to possibly dislocate her elbow (she has problems with nurse maid's elbow). We won't be purchasing roll up swimmies again.

Work as advertised!,

I bought these for my 3 year old daughter and she loves them. She weighs around 30-32lbs and they keep her up in the water and still allow her to swim with confidence. The only trouble we have with them is when we take them off they roll in on themselves, but not a huge deal to just spin it right back out.

These are not suitable for any child, regardless of age. They are 8 inches long! It is the entire length of my 3-yr-old's arm, from shoulder to wrist. Arm bands should only cover the bicep area. Otherwise you can't even move your arms.
