Being an avid swimmer, I've tried many different types of trunks, and these are, by far, my favorite. They're inexpensive, very comfortable, sized-appropriately (ie. 34 is right for a 34-inch waist), durable, and attractive. Yes, there is a seam in the front and the back, but you should be able to gather that from looking at the picture, and considering the fact that it is lined in the front (and on some of the lighter colors, in the back as well), this is a non-issue comfort-wise; the seam is actually there to better provide the contour necessary for the masculine figure. In response to a previous review, I have never experienced a problem with this suit being too narrow to be morally decent, and I've been wearing solar styles suits for a couple of years now, in various sizes.

This swimsuit is cut just right. My size is 32 - which is just right for this style. It probably won't look good on men with a larger abdomen. Legs are higher cut than most briefs. It's great for both sunning and swimming. Quality appears excellent although I've had it only a month.

Good fit and color. Did not like the front liner though; held water and slowed drying time. Some careful work with scissors solved the problem. Side panel measures 2 inches not 1 inch. Don't understand the seam in the back either but found it not to be a problem in any way. Was able to get at great price also, so I purchased extras. All in all, really like the suit and recommend it.

I swim 3-4 days a week and have been wearing various iterations of this suit for 10 years. It is BRIEF but great for lap swimming. I have never had a problem with fit. If you have an odd number pants size, get the smaller suit otherwise it may be a little too loose. I wear dark colors (black) to avoid unintentional display, as lighter colors can be somewhat transparent. Each suit lasts me 4-6 months. When I'm done, I soak it in ice water which seems to help it last longer.

This version is a little different than a year or two ago. The side cut is now closer to 2" than 1" but still low-rising. The Speedo emblem is now white. The front lining is no longer mesh-like but more Lycra type of material. The only problem is that the drawstring is shorter and now flat instead of round.

All in all, I still love this suit.

Okay, I guess you're not supposed to tan anymore, but I also smoke cigarettes.
Nice front pouch and high cut but not unreasonable side coverage- hey, you're wearing speedos anyway, get the sun involved and the tan lines minimized.
Well lined, so light colors are no problem, if you want to kick it up a notch, go to N2N.
Stop this gay thing with speedos, guys used to like to have a tan that didn't look like you sat under a box all day, you know you do it at the tanning place, get it out in the real sun.
Okay, this led to a radical review, but consider all opinions when reading the reviews, and I won't drone on and on like this was a camera or radio or something........

I must admit ... these Speedo Briefs are high cut and can be placed in the category: 'DARING'.

Since ordering and rating this brief, I have been recommended Andrew Christian Almost Naked Bikini Swimwear (by Amazon's computers). I won't dare swim in those, lest things fall apart :))

Actually, my color selection, 'Sapphire' looks more conservative than the 'orange' or 'white' colors in this style of Speedo briefs.

The inner fronts of these Speedo briefs are lined with black fabric. So, there are no issues of exposed jewels with your wet Speedo briefs. :))

These Speedo briefs also have a vertical front seam providing added 'frontal' comfort. The fabric is form fitting 76% nylon and 24% lyrca material so nothing pops out even with during a rigorous swim. The waist also has a drawstring so, rest assured - you'll not lose these Speedos when you dive into the water! Certainly no bottoms up! :)) LOL

I use this Speedo for day swimming to get maximum tan. If you prefer to cover up just a bit but still enjoy swimming in Speedo briefs, then I recommend the Speedo Men's Solid Lycra Bathing Suit.

This suit is well made with heavier nylon fabric than you usually see in fashion suits of this kind. Support is good... nothing flopping around inside or showing through. Rather generously cut compared to the usually skimpier fashion suits. The blue color is dark, looks almost black when wet. You don't have to be a lap swimmer to like this suit. It is a reasonable - even conservative - alternative for men who prefer not to swim in baggy surfer shorts that come down below the knees. One caution: like all nylon material, concrete is the enemy, especially if you let it scrape the suit by pushing off into the water from a sitting position on the concrete edge of the pool. The first couple of times will rough up the material and eventually it will ruin the suit. So when you go into the pool, lake, or ocean... walk in or jump in. Enjoy.

I have tried brief swimwear in the past, but as soon as you try Speedo products on, you know you are fitted with quality. Very comfortable. I don't know why guys wear those big, baggy suits now with the liners in them that irritate your package and surroundings. (I purchased the black color.)

I am sold on the briefer swimwear, regardless of what others think. My wife loves what she sees when I put them on and gets very complimentary toward me.

Having just gotten my Navy Solar, I can say this style is my favorite of the speedo-suits I've owned. Speedo as a brand knows thier business, and their suits are well-made and comfortable. As I said in an earlier review of the older, non-xtra life Solars, these suits are not for the shy or faint of heart. They are minimal coverage suits, with high leg openings, narrow sides, and although they have a full cut backside, they cut it narrow. I've worn speedo suits for years, so the small suit doesn't bother me, but if this is your first experience with this type of suit, be ready. It fits tight, so be sure of your size, and if tight isn't your way, go up a size. All suits except the white ones have black lining in the front, so don't worry about a free show when wet. Be sure to rinse the suit out with water then hang to dry to extend the life of the suit, and you'll get a lot of life out of it. All in all, this a great suit, and I love it.

I had waited to wear this as I wasn't sure if it'd work for me, but I can say that it fits well, is very comfortable, and also very stylish. If you are wanting a suit that is stylish and will show your physique then this is the suit for you.
