Where I live we go to the beach almost every day. Since my son was 3 years old he has been wearing a Speedo UV shirt when going to the beach. You don't have to worry about sunscreen, which washes of at the beach anyway. Just make sure you put sunscreen on your kids face and a UV hat, and set him free.
