My son is a competitive swimmer in high school and the Speedo Vanquisher Plus goggles have always been his favorite. He has tried other ones that people have recommended but these seem to work the best. He is a butterfly swimmer so there is a lot of in and out of the water action and these Speedos don't slip at all. He also has a largish head and these fit comfortably around it and the goggles don't dig uncomfortably into his eye sockets.

When I was a lifeguard, someone left a pair of these at the pool. I tried them out and they are without a doubt the best pair I've ever used. I liked them so much that I now have 2 pairs. They don't fog up, leak ANY water, or feel uncomfortable. I simply love the way they feel. If you are looking to swim laps, or just enjoy swimming without getting water in your eyes, I won't hesitate to tell you that these are a MUST HAVE.

best goggles I've had,

I swim a lot, and these are the best, longest-lasting goggles I've had. I've been using the vanquisher goggles for over a year now. I've had my current pair for almost three months, and they are still pretty fog-free. My only complaint is that the clip on the straps can break easily when adjusting them. I like them a lot better than the hydrospex. The vanquisher plus goggles are especially helpful in blocking the sun when swimming backstroke outside.

The Best I Have Used,

I have tried several types of goggles. I swim 4 miles per week and these have held up nicely. All goggles will fog somewhat, however, I have found these to fog very little. The eyecups on my TYR's gave me a severe headache after an hour. I can swim for an hour with these with little discomfort. I take care of them by placing them back into the case when I am done. They should last a long time.

I had been a big swimmer from ages 8 - 14, and still can't shake the memory of waking up five times a week at 5:30 am for morning swim practice. I recently decided to get back in the pool, though this time at the YMCA and purely for exercise and my heart and lungs etc. After looking around online for a day or so, I figured these goggles were the best. I've got a pretty big noggin, so I was a little concerned that I should try goggles on before buying them.
But after they arrived I tried them out at the pool. That was 3 weeks ago, and I have to admit I can't find anything wrong with them (hence, the 5 stars). They have a soft elastic headband that is adjustable, and doesn't pull at your hair like the more rubber band-like cheaper versions. But the main thing is: they don't leak, or fog up, are way comfortable, and give you crystal clear vision underwater. A streamlined design means you get a fully functional pair of goggles that are small, sleek, and good for those who want to race, or just cruise back and forth for an hour. If you buy these you've made a good choice!

These work flawlessly, no fog, no leaks, hands down the best goggles I've found in 20 years of swimming.
Sidenote, I did have to switch the nose piece which took a bit more work than I was expecting, I was afraid I was going to break them trying to make the switch, I didn't... but be prepared to use a bit of force if you opt to switch the nose piece. Just an update - still using these almost four years later... they're starting to show a bit of wear but I've taken good care of them (rinsing them off after swimming, etc. etc.) so they're holding up well. I should also add that peripheral vision is limited, but in a competition or lap swimming setting it shouldn't be a problem. Recreational use, it might be a bit of a hindrance. I thought I'd lost em, and ended up buying a second pair... only to find the first pair a few weeks later. The way these have held up, I might not ever need them (unless I lose them again).

The goggle were not expensive. They seal well and don't leak.
the mirrored lens act as sunglasses, and the optical quality is good. Keep the lens clean and you should be happy with these goggles. they come with variable with nose pieces, but they fit me write out of the box. recommended!

I have been a competitive swimmer for 12 years and these goggles have always worked the best for me, and most other swimmers I know use them as well. They almost never leak, fit most people's faces, and provide great shadows for swimming outdoors.

Based on the reviews here on amazon and on speedo, I decided to purchase these goggles. I have a small bridge, so it's been difficult to find goggles that fit well. These goggles are great. I hardly had to do much of an adjustment with the nose piece. With my long hair, the bands do not catch strands like other goggles. The seal is wonderful and I had no problems with leakage. I highly recommend.

Good design, however poor Anti-Fog feature...,

After I lost my beloved Speedo swim goggles (can't remember its model) I started looking for a new one. With the impression of those positive reviews, I bought a blue Vanquisher Plus.
Well, the antireflective mirrored layer works fine under sunshine and looks cool also. It has 3 separate nosepieces so that you can use the appropriate one to adjust the goggle on your face. However it's very hard to attach/detach them as the connections are too tight. My biggest disappointment is its Anti-Fog feature that vanished after the second use! I wore them at the sea, not in the pool (so no chlorine) and without touching the inner layer I rinsed them with fresh water after each use. However nothing can be seen through the foggy glass now. What a pity... Well, I am not expecting Anti-Fog feature to last forever of course, but come on Speedo, it couldn't survive even a weekend! |
