I joined a gym earlier in the year in order to use the pool, but I found that redressing afterwards was tedious - the least amount of dampness on my legs transferred to my jeans and pants, and trying to pull shirts over my wet hair caused snags and tangles. I purchased this dress in my size (here an XL) so as to have something quick and easy to dress in after a swim, but still "normal" enough to drop by the supermarket afterwards, if need be.

In that regard, this dress fits the bill pretty perfectly. Overall, the dress is well made (more on that in a minute), and the zipper is strong - not flimsy - and doesn't snag or eat up the fabric. Also, no loose threads or trailing hems here, and the fit is pretty much perfect. The material could be thicker - you can just barely see the outline of under clothes, but it's pretty thick for "swim wear" clothing, so I can't complain. The included hood isn't heavy and doesn't pull on my shoulders, and the front pockets are well-situated and very useful. I do wish the dress came in more color varieties.

My one complaint is that the company that makes these hasn't graduated to the "print on labels" or even the "easy tear away" labels. The label in the back was super-scratchy and drove me *insane* until I finally reached back and tore it out. I'm just about the least powerful person on earth, so I was surprised and annoyed to find that tearing out the label caused the actual stitches to tear out. Grr. So I had to re-stitch by hand, which was exceedingly annoying. But if you're reading this review, then you're forewarned and can just cut the tag carefully out.

I purchased this in medium and it was a little snug so I got the large. I'm 5'5, hips 37, bust 36 inches, waist 33 inches. The fit is somewhat fitted, but not so much that it's not comfortable. The large is perfect - and it falls a little longer than in the photo, which I prefer. What I love about the cover up is the terry cloth on the inside of the cover-up --which helps to dry you off faster. Also, the terry cloth makes it so the cover-up doesn't stick to you when you're wet. I purchased a 100% cotton cover-up last year and the fabric stuck to me when I got out of the pool--that was definitely a deal breaker for me (that cover-up went back immediately!!). Other bonuses, the two way zipper (why doesn't speedo promote this perk in it's product features is beyond me), hood (which is used often), handy kangaroo pockets (I'm amazed at how often I use these -- keys,cell phone, starbucks card, etc.) and, short sleeves. I hope speedo continues to make this cover-up for years to come (please, do not change anything --except add more colors!). It's absolutely the best all around cover-up I have found -- I have the black and navy!

I purchased this cover-up in black. This cover-up is practical and just what I was looking for! It covers everything and will keep you warm. Perfect for a hotel stay, a day at the pool or beach. I have washed and dried it once and it came out fine. It is going to be great to have for boating this summer!

This is a very cute dress and I am so glad I got it. It's thick enough where you don't have to wear any shirt under it and can still be warm but not too hot. I love how it has 2 zipper pulls with one on top when it's zipped and one at the bottom for a cute look. Since I'm a short girl at 5 foot, the dress is not as short on me as it appears on the model, it goes down to my knees but no complaints, I love it!! I love it so much, aside from the original navy blue one I purchased, I also got it in black as well. I wear this dress every morning to walk my dog in and like I say, it keeps me warm yet not too hot on our walks. Furthermore, the material is good quality so it won't tear easily, it doesn't fade with washing, nor does the dark color bleed into the white Speedo logo near the pocket. Overall, I am in love with this dress and would recommend it to others!

The quality of the piece looked to be well-made and soft fabric, however, i purchased a medium and it looked like it was an extra small. The shipment was received within the dates stated and returning it was easy.

I love the zip up front and the material. Easy on and off and even though it's black the material lets you breath a little. My only negative would be the size of "L" is not a true Large...it's a bit too small for my size 12/14 body.

This item runs quite small. I ordered a size up and its still not as loose as I'd like. Guess it would be okay if you are looking for form fitting. Style was good. I'm giving it to someone smaller.

i think this swim suit cover up is slimming and feels soft. however, it is a bit warm. material is thick. black obviously attracts heat. otherwise, i recommend completely.

This cover-up is comfortable, looks great and can be worn as a swimsuit cover-up or a little dress or something great to lounge around in. It runs true to size and washes up great. I receive many compliments when I wear this. My daughter recommended it to me and I pass on that recommendation!!!

it has a double zipper that zips from bottom and top. light weight terry fabric good for the warmer 10 months out of the year in the south where i live. did order up a size from my ususal medium to a large and the fit is perfect not to tight or loose. great pockets. wish it came in more colors. well made. very happy with purchase. amazon description was accurate.
