I recently started training to participate in an Alcatraz swim. I am extremely long-waisted (I'm a size 8-10 with the torso size of someone size 18). I wanted a two-piece suit to train because traditional suits tend to run too short for me.

In a local swim store, the clerk told me they didn't sell two-piece suits because their clientele (mostly competitive swimmers like herself) don't like them. I can understand that: if you practice racing and diving into a pool, you don't want to risk a suit bottom coming off. I don't plan on diving in, so this issue was not a concern to me. PLus, a two-piece will have different drag than a one-piece and that would impact training. Also not a concern to me.

The clerk highly recommended the Speedo Endurance brand because it holds up well: it is a polyester suit which means it will not shrink or thin like the Lycra fabric suits. I've heard this sentiment echoed by many friends who swim.

My husband and I recently went on a trip to Jamaica. It was very comfortable and I ended up wearing it almost every day - ignoring the actual bikinis I brought along. The top fit like a standard sports bra. I wore this suit to climb Dunn's River Falls and never worried about support or exposure.

I agree with the other reviewer: the draw string is long and a bit annoying. I had to make sure to keep sweeping it to the side when putting the suit on and when getting out of the pool.

I plan to order this suit again in another color.

Very cute! I read that the drawstring was slightly annoying and it is a little bit. It makes the bathing suit gather in the front slightly. But all in all, it's flattering and I feel cute while swimming laps.
