Speedy is the story of an amazingly talented young man who uses his speed and agility to confound his enemies. This story is very fun to read and not a sentence of it is boring or slow paced

I discovered Frederick Faust stories some months ago - they are delightfully written - much better reads than the clunky, predictible, bloody Louis Lamore and the romantic pablum of Zane Grey.
Faust's western had a wonderful combination of humor, pathos, reality - all wrapped up in a very readable "tale". Speedy the character is a work of art and a true non-"Western" hero - he never uses guns. Try also his "Song of the Whip" written under Evan Evans. |
