Product Description

Key Features Full-range DSMX receiver Antenna is amplified for greater signal clarity 4-Channelthrottle, elevator, aileron and rudder channels for park flyers, trainers and most sport planes Flight log and telemetry compatible 2048 resolutionVideo Overview OverviewThe full-range SpektrumTM AR400 receiver is easily one of the best receiver values in RC. It combines the speed and precision of DSMX control with the signal security of an active amplified antenna. This antenna enables the AR400 receiver to "see around" reflective materials on a model and avoid antenna polarization blind spots. It also allows the AR400 receiver to pick out its transmitter's signal with remarkable clarity in the noisiest 2.4GHz environments. All of this is complemented by SmartSafeTM failsafe protection and the security of Spektrum QuickConnectTM technology that provides lightning-fast reconnection in the event of a low-voltage brownout. NOTE: The AR400 receiver is not compatible with the DX6 park flyer radio system. Always purchase products from a Horizon Hobby, Inc. authorized dealer to ensure authentic high-quality Spektrum product. This is a great value receiver. I bought several of these for use with my DX6i and some 4 channel planes I have. No issues with range or connectivity at all. I previously had tried out OrangeRX receivers being on a budget, but found that I lost contact every once and while, with these AR400 that issue disappeared. The price point is nice, better than the others in the AR series. If all you need is 4 channel, these are well worth the investment, great quality!

I bought one of these for my Radian that only has 3 channels, so no sense in putting a larger (more expensive) receiver in it. I prefer the antennas coming out of either side, but I still managed to fit it in fine with the antenna coming out of the top.
I've been pushing at least 1200 feet and it works great.

You get Spektrum reliability for under 50 bucks, and it's full-range. Good for planes that only need 4 channels: rudder, elevator, ailerons and throttle. It has a long and short antenna instead of just one. It's light and compact, perfect for parkflyer-sized planes (48" wingspan and less) and also epp foamie planes. If your plane cost you over a hundred dollars, don't risk it on some cheap imitation that just might lose signal on a very busy day. The AR400 is affordable and dependable.

Does as expected. I will be using this mainly for test/builds. Will work great if you don't plan on using any flaps, e-landing gear, nav lights or any telemetry doo-dads. I fly mostly with AR600's or above to be sure ;+)

Linked it up to my mini Hurricane, so far and it bound with ease. Haven't had ANY RECEPTION issues or cut outs whatsoever and I've taken it at least 500+ yards!!!!

Only thing I don't like is where the antenna is placed compared to the AR600.

Quality product and would buy again if needed.

Very small and light weight 5.6 grams. I like that its a small, 4ch, full range Rx with telemetry and data log. Very cool. It's in my 55" SBACH 342. Excellent purchase!

I am slowly learning that this is one of the best and most cost effective receivers out there. I wish I learned that from the beginning.

I bought one of these Spektrum AR400 receivers to put into a Flyzone Tidewater airplane. I fly with a Spektrum DX6i and usually just buy BNF airplanes from Horizon Hobby brands, but the Tidewater was going to be a better option for a seaplane for me than any of the Horizon offerings at the time.

So I removed the Tactic receiver from the Tidewater and put the AR400 in place. I got it bound to the transmitter easily, and it was smaller than the normal receiver so it easily fit inside the plane. I like that it's got a nice long antenna on it, it makes it easy to make sure that you've got the antenna where you need it even if you've only got a limited space to mount the actual receiver.

I range tested the receiver and it tested out just fine. All of the functions work as they should. I haven't had a chance to fly the plane yet (-19 degrees where I live means no lakes to fly off of right now) but I have no reason to believe it won't work perfectly after doing the range checks.

It's a great option for a plane that doesn't need a lot of channels. Highly recommended.

Spektrum has always been my first choice in RC radios and transmitters. Have found them to be reliable and top notch.
