first off... i've played alot of RPG/RTS' and this was the best one by far.
the story is based on the age old concept of time travel. in the beginning of the game you see a video showing the end of the world. and the events that follow lead up to a continuous loop of one man's wrong choice, and his decision to change the worlds grim future. and that is just in the first 2 hours of gameplay:). the music is kinda soothing during most of the game... but in the combat scenes... it gets more up beat. the gameplay is...well, kinda hard to get a grip on... but in the same way... it's also kinda easy.... mainly because, before you start a new game you go through a kinda practice level that explains the whole game... and gives you time to figure stuff out... but after that the game isn't so kind:)... it can get very very hard in places that seem so easy X-( ... if you play like 10 hours a day, you should be able to complete the first level by next friday! :) seriously!!!! ... but the time just seems to fly by when your playing... it's just so well made^.^... but there is a few bugs... good bugs :D ... maybe it was just my version... but when i bought something over the amount i had... the game gave me like 10 million gold coins... it was awesome :P. and i havent even mentined the spells... theres like 200... and you even get to do cool spells like "pain", "area heal", "petrify", "invulnerability", and the one i think is the coolest "Death" B) and you get different levels of spells... like i only got to death level 9, but then again... that did like 270 damage:P the replay value is amazing... i never had any trouble, and i played it like 3 times. the graphics are great... and it runs smooth on my system... but i have an intel core 2 duo centrino processer, nvidia geforce 9300m GS 512mb, and 4 gigs of memory... so anything will run smooth on that... but if you don't have something like that... you might need to turn down the graphics :'( if you like action based aventure games with great stories... then i highly recommend spellforce. ps. it works on vista! ^.^ |
