Spellbinder is a great live cd,The cd starts out with Devil`s Daughter,a high energy tune with some fantastic sounds from Phil Lanzon(keyboards).I really love the way they do July Morning on this cd,different from the original verson but sounds great.The song Words in the Distance is from the Sea of Light cd well played here. the entire cd as some of the bands greatest hits. this is a very good cd ..Highly recomended..

Uriah Heep has been following a pair of parallel trails for a number of years; remaining active in the studio, but also going the "Classic Rock" route of keeping the marketplace active with live albums (which currently numbers thirteen releases).

Released in Europe and Japan in 1996 and - finally - in the U.S. in 1999, there are 11 live tracks and one studio cut, the outstanding Sail the Rivers, that features a contemporary lineup; Mick Box (g), Lee Kerslake (d), Trevor Bolder (b), Phil Lanzon (k) and Bernie Shaw (v). Though a good chunk of the set could have been pulled from gigs during earlier eras, these are not perfunctory performances to sell tour T-shirts at the souvenir stand; UH has the sparks flying throughout the nearly 63 minutes.

To casually dismiss UH as dinosaurs from the arena rock history books is a grievous error....the band can still rocka rolla.

This cd, recorded in '94, is a great live show. Heep sticks mainly to material from their '70's commercial heyday with some more contemporary tunes thrown in. There is nothing really unusual here, just a Uriah Heep gig, except for the GREAT bonus track, a studio cut left off of "Sea Of Light". If you want only one live Heep cd then this is the one.
