True magick for the young witches among us,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Spellcraft: a Primer for the Young Magician (Paperback)
I purchased this book for my 9 year old son, a second generation Witch, and was fully expecting that I'd have to edit it for his consumption. After reading it I joyfully handed it over to him with no censorship and said "Go for it!" He is thrilled to have his first magick book and he has spent hours reading aloud to me from this text - an unexpected bonus. Leave trash like Teen Witch on the shelf, purchase this book and pass it on to your young ones, you won't regret it. Blessed Be

Way better than "Teen Witch"!,

This is an excellent book for young people, written with a sense of humor and style. McClelland refuses to talk down to her audience, and offers ethical advice without preaching. Don't take my word for it - I'm just an old grownup. Real teens love this book: I lent my copy to a teen-age neighbor and he carried it everywhere in the inside pocket of his coat for a month!

This review is from: Spellcraft: a Primer for the Young Magician (Paperback)
Excellent resource for anyone interested in "what's it all about" and for the new practioner. Straight forward information on all the important aspects peppered with humor and true life tales. Easy to read, amazingly short, considering the info contained within, I highly recommend this volume.

I loved this book. It really helped me and my friend Aimee understand what magic is. It was unbleivable how simple the book explained things in plain english. We really enjoyed reading it. This is an excellent book for a teenager learning how to start out. Thanks to this book we are experianced witches now. This book was a great help. I gave it 5 stars for it told of everything you need to know, plus a bunch a spells to practice on.

Ethical magic for teens and adults,
By A Customer
This review is from: Spellcraft: a Primer for the Young Magician (Paperback)
Many young people get interested in Witchcraft or magic, but relatively few can find good guidance in developing their concentration and using their energies ethically. McLelland's book is a valuable introduction, not limited to one religion. She emphasizes ethics and fun equally, and her writing style is accessible to teens without being patronizing. I recommend this book not only for young people, but for adults who are discovering the magic of the spirit and want a light-hearted yet practical guide.

For everyone!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Spellcraft: a Primer for the Young Magician (Paperback)
This book was given to my 14 year old son by a friend to explain what magic is and how it works. It is an excellent book for all beginning magic users. The book is written in an "everyday", easy to understand format. I would highly recommend this book to beginners, those working with magic already and especially those who teach magic to others.
