5.0 out of 5 stars metatarsal comfort
These cushions are the best to relieve metatarsalalgia pain. I recommend them highly.
They come with double-back tape to tape into the shoe. I prefer to use a few pair in different shoes.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK but
I got the pads to help with a neuroma but I have trouble getting them to stay in the proper position. I guess they could be glued down but then they could be used in only one pair of shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars good option, July 18, 2008

I wear an orthotic in closed shoes but with sandals these work pretty well. They help with pain in the ball of the foot. My only negative comment is that the double faced tape that comes with the product doesn't keep it in place.

this is exactly what the doctor ordered (i mean that literally) he told me that the arch on my left foot had fallen and that is why i was getting constant pains on the ball of my foot, so i decided to order this product and use it since i was about to partake in my country's carnival celebration for two days straight (it's the best btw)i must admit that this spenco performance pad did in fact deliver the relief that was very much needed for those two days. my only hang up was that once in a while i would have to stop to put it back in place (for some reason it kept shifting) maybe all my jumping and dancing did not help the cause but overall i rate this product 4 out of 5.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't Stay In Place, June 21, 2011

These supports managed to help alleviate some of my metastarsal pain. However, they will not stay in place. I've literally had to tape them into my shoes for them to stay in place. The result is a sticky mess after a few weeks when the tape wears off.

The pads are fairly comfortable, but they do not solve my problem. That said, they move around inside my shoe. They need some type of sticky material to hold their position better in the shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best I've found thus far, December 26, 2010

I've been hunting the internet and stores for metatarsal pads/ball of foot pads. I've ordered about 10 different types; these by far are the best...however, they have one great flaw...they dont stay in place. But, having tried others these are the best to date. I just adjust them once or twice a day inside my shoe. These help a lot and have soften my contact with the ground. I'm still looking for that perfect protector though.

I was hoping this would take care of my ball of foot pain but it hasnt done the trick. I guess I will need to find a full length insert as this one isnt cutting it.
